These side mirrors are a bit complicated to install initially. I guess it would help to read the directions first. However, once the installation is figured out, it becomes very easy to install and remove these and they are very secure due to their design. Several adjustments are available and it's just a matter of adapting the straps to the shape of your particular mirror. Once I had them setup where I wanted them, I labelled the driver side mirror to make it easier to replace them in the future.
Have used them once and so far so good! Fairly easy to install on my Nissan Frontier. Vibrates a Little, but not bad. Seemed a little pricey, but seems pretty stable. Have not tried them on the freeway at high speed, so that may change this review.
These clip-on mirrors are easy to install and very stable. They fit great on my GMC Canyon.
These mirrors work well.
Takes a little figuring out the adjustments, did one, did the other, then went back and redid the first one. Rode steady, no vibration on 200 mile trip.
Easy to install on 2019 Ranger. Would have preferred a wider rear view, but it works.
Bought these initially, to use on my 2011 Ranger in expectation of towing a small travel trailer. Ended up using them on a 2016 Expedition. Tested them before my first towing session while travelling in West Texas at 80 MPH and windy. Mirrors stayed on and were not that bad on vibration. When it came time to pick up my travel trailer, they helped a bunch seeing down the sides. Not as good as the big extension mirrors I have had on super duties, but still perfectly acceptable. One note, when removing them, don't take the clamps off completely, just loosen them. And make note of which side the mirror came off.
little tricky to figure out... if your side view mirrors taper like mine do, you may need to get fancy with the straps to ensure the mirror is secure. the ratcheting straps are what make the mirrors workable. once you figure them out, the mirror is tight and stable.
In less that one year and using them three times I've had two broken straps. The company has replaced those at no cost. Appreciated, but that didn't help when they broke in the middle of our trip driving down the freeway.
Across many websites, the reviews for these mirrors are generally positive. While the construction seems robust enough, I finally gave up trying to get them to fit on the stock/base mirrors on my 2007 Tundra. Despite multiple tries at positioning them, and despite using all my strength to ratchet them down, I could never get them to fit securely--a slight outward tug would change the position of the mirror. The back of my stock mirrors isn't flat or smooth--there is a horizontal crease that runs across the middle of the mirror housing; perhaps this caused my difficulty. Also, on the one mirror I attempted to install, the ball adjustment on the back of the mirror was all but impossible to budge without removing the mirror from the bracket, and using a pair of plies to move the ball mount. This is my third set of extension mirrors (all returned)--one from CIPA, and 2 from Camco were all fails--not sure a suitable product exists for my application
