3M Aqua-Pure Whole House Scale Inhibition Replacement Water Treatment Cartridge, AP43111

I installed this device during the install of our new boiler combi hot-water unit to prevent any scale in the finned heat exchanger. We are impressed with the results. Our dishes come out cleaner from the dishwasher, shower heads seem to be unclogging themselves, even our dogs are happier. We have always trusted 3M products, they are first rate.

if you are even considering buying this product I highly recommend you do so. I realize that this is not a scientific test, but as a testament, I have have a tank-less water heater for a few years now and have had to replace a few heating elements during that time. when pulling them out they have always been coated with scale and build up (which will shorten their lifespan AND reduce their effectiveness) about a year ago I added this scale build inhibitor at the same time that I replaced a blown element and recently replaced the other element in my unit (mine has 2). I was delightfully surprised to find that the scale build up on the element that I installed with the scale inhibitor had only 5-10% of the build-up (in an area with hard water) of its blown partner (which was about a year and a half old at that point) I must attribute the difference to this amazing product and I'm guessing with the extra life I'll get out of my elements, this will have paid for itself after about 2 years.

We installed it years ago and it's worked so well and I am so happy with it. The hot water heater is perfect for small cabin. And at one point entire family was living there for three years. We installed it in 2012. Very easy to deal with even turning the water system off in freezing weather when the cabin was empty.

I bought this 9 months ago and have had noticeably better water quality when running hot water. Less build up on my shower walls and fixtures and fewer leaky faucets from build up in the valves. My only complaint is that there are no instructions that specify the orientation of the model. All marketing images show the system mounted vertically with the valve at the top. We had limited room for installation so this was mounted horizontally. This does appear to still work, but I could find no documentation in any location that confirmed that this was appropriate for use. Seeing as this is working, I imagine it is fine.

Easy to install

Hello ! Received a replacement cartridge and it no longer includes the use sensor. Why has this been eliminated? That was one of the key features of this product. Not happy !!

May be it's even worse without it. Glass in dishwasher still stains.
