Instead of paying $100 to have a garage fix the small crack and hole in my tail light I bought this product. I fixed it myself in less than 15 minutes and for less than $8. And, I didn't have to spend 4 to 8 hours taking the car to a dealer to fix. I highly recommend this product.

if change whole rear light is around $375. now the light just a little bit broken, $7 to fix it.

This 3M Auto High Strength Red Lens Repair Film was used to repair a damaged tail light on a 2021 Honda Pilot (see attached pictures). The film feels like it is made of a plastic material similar to the red tail light itself. The repair film is fairly thick yet flexible and has a good adhesive that should provide a watertight seal. However, the adhesive may not be strong enough to maintain adhesion on curved surfaces, as the film tends to lift to maintain its original flat shape, even with pre-shaping or pre-bending. The top portion of the film in my repair, located above a slight bend in the tail light surface, lifted after about 10 minutes. I was able to salvage the repair using a heat gun on a very low setting. The heat provided was enough to allow the film to conform to the curved surface and redistribute the adhesive for a watertight seal. The repair has now been in place for the past two months with no signs of weakening. I am very pleased with this product, as the repair feels more like a permanent fix rather than a temporary solution such as red tail light tape. To the unsuspecting eye, the repair is not easily noticeable during the day. At night, the repair is undetectable when the tail lights are illuminated. This product should provide a quick repair on flat tail light surfaces or those with very minimal curvature. On sharper bends and more curved surfaces, the repair may require additional effort (and possibly a heat gun).

Took the finish off brake lights. Might be good for a small area. I did try to stick and restick to configure coverage.
