I've used this in my auto glass business---AS DIRECTED---and it works amazingly well. The bad reviews so far seem to be from those who either didn't follow use instructions. It does have a shelf-life especially once opened which I also discovered would cause problems with curing---I'm sure 3M has specified what's acceptable in that regard.
Reading all these reviews, it's obvious the poor reviews are from people who didn't use the product correctly and with the wrong tools. If you can't read the instructions folks, well... Anyway, yes...the tools to use this are not cheap. But if you use them...and use them correctly...and follow the instructions without taking shortcuts, you will not find a better product out there and your glass will stay glued. Make sure your glass channels are clean and the window rolls down freely. This is the best stuff I've ever found.
Seems to be holding well. I did have to buy a gun to apply it, but now I have the gun for similar products.
I used this to adhere the glass back in place the track of my truck. It worked well and I am happy with the end results but I had to rig up a cualk gun to use it. The tool you need to use this is more expensive than the epoxy. Another problem they only send one mixing tube in the package so make sure you buy extras if you intend on using it again.
The product may be fine, however applying it from the tube/s is virtually impossible. Why on earth does this not come with a plunger device which would make it work. I would no reccomd purchasing this product.
Bought this product to adhere the side glide to the plastic clip. Product does not cure and remains tacky. Windows easily pulls up from the clip. Don't waste you money for mounting on anything.
