I am in the maintenance department for a high end condo building with lots of traffic in Fort Lauderdale so I am constantly repairing chipped drywall corners and scratches into the dry wall. I always had some sandpaper, joint compound, and putty knife with me. Unless you take a heat gun it can take a while to dry, and you still need to prime and paint it. This has made my life much easier, it doesn't shrink, and even when the damage is larger then a simple nail hole this stuff dries quickly, doesn't shrink, and doesn't need to be primed either. It blends into our ceilings so we'll I don't even have to paint it. Now all maintenance personnel carry one of these in their tool bags
I received this sample to try free of charge and I used it and it worked wonderfully! No one could see where the wall had been damaged and it matched perfectly. I received the 3M Wall Kit (the Patch Plus Primer and everything was included free from 3M to evaluate. Thank you and I loved trying it out.
Bought this product and stored it for a month before getting around to using it. We live in the desert, so it gets hot in my garage, especially in the summer. It worked OK, but would have been easier to apply and less wasted, it it hadnt started drying out. Can this product: 1.) be rejuvenated by adding a little water? 2.) be stored in a refridgerator to extend life? THANKS!
I received 3M Patch plus primer free from 3m and used it around the house on small pin holes through meduim photo hooks. The lightweight spackling filed in the holes and was so easy to apply. I painted right over the spackling and never did it flake or fall off.
Just bought and used the product. Label says its blue (then turns white) . It was white when opened, is this abnormal??
I can find nothing on the container about drying time. How long does it have to dry before it can be sanded?
I had used the 3M Patch material that didn't have the primer and was pleased with the product. However, the addition of the 'primer' causes the product to harden in the container. Once the container is opened it needs to be used in a fairly short amount of time.
I bought this product claiming it had videos on how to repair holes in a wall. 3M has no such videos, at least not at the web sight they refer you to. If you claim support then provide support, I should not have bought this product. It isn't rocket science, but follow your word in advertising.
love the product, really is self priming, sands well. the container does not seal well so much of it dries out and gets wasted. i would bet anything it is designed that way on purpose to sell more. i will be looking for a similar product to use from now on with a better sealing container.
The primer was an engineering fail. It makes the patch more difficult to blend in to the "never smooth" surface on any wall that has been painted before. The primer stains carpet, hardwood, etc. white if it falls on it. Without primer it would vacuum right up after it dried. Damp sponging to texture match was impossible. Still takes 2 coats of paint to cover.
