It does exactly what it says but you need to follow instructions exactly as well which really isn't that hard. It took 20 years of clouding away in about an hour and a half. Just take your time and do it right and you'll get the results like with almost all 3m products I've used over the years.

Easy to use and brought the cloudy lenses back to a new apperance. As with any type of a kit you do have to use a bit of (elbow) grease.

man I tell you my headlights wasn't that bad, had a little haze not to yellow but had that rough feel on the lens that you could actually see headlights looked and had bad deep scratches where someone before tried to use course sand paper,so first I tried the heavy duty turtle wax brand that required hand sanding, theres no way I could have put enough elbow grease into it but tried,lens looked clearer but the rough feel and scratches were just way more noticeable, So went ahead and bought the 3M Heavy Duty Headlight Restoration Kit with Quick Clear Coat, 39175 followed the instructions,and I say about 30-40 mins.total time,for both headlights,they looked BRAND NEW,no effort at all,left for work next am.at 5am turned on my lights,WOW was shocked looked like I had led lights,got home put on some wax just for a little added protection from the sun, my headlights looked like I bought new headlight from the dealer, I have a 2007 pt cruiser so these lens has gone through it all,MY friend had lights so bad you could see down the street and he had same results,so don't waste your time on other kind,you WONT BE DISAPPOINTED...im sure other brands that requires similar process works just as well using a cordless drill like this brand, but I cant speak for them but 3M Heavy Duty Headlight Restoration Kit with Quick Clear Coat, 39175 WORKS and price is worth EVERY CENT... This product is amazing! For only $17 it has made my car look brand new! The instructions were also so in depth and easy to use. I felt confident as I was using this product. I recorded myself using this kit on my car and all of my friends were amazed. The results were truly spectacular. I would definitely purchase again in the future if I needed it.

Very impressed! Usually reality fails to live up to "as-advertised", but not in this case. I think you have to follow the instructions carefully, but they are written clearly with good photos included to show how each step should be done. You can see the before and after results for my '09 Honda Fit.

Purchased the heavy duty restoration product and completed the process today. Being able to use the drill saved a lot of time and the finished job is excellent. So much easier and cheaper than purchasing new lights.

Did lens that are 11 years old. So bad it reduced the effectiveness of the headlights. Did exactly as the instructions said do. Couldn't believe what I saw. Totally restored, looked brand new.

I bought the Heavy Duty Headlight Restoration KIT to clean up my Prius headlights. The Instructions did not coincide with the Kit contents and 3M Chat directed me to instructions for some other kit - It would appear that there is a distinct disconnect between 3M Sales and 3M Marketing - I expect Instructions to be applicable, not a lot of possibles......Sorry.....
