I work in the healthcare industry where there are lots of patients with frail skin. I recently had to switch tapes for a particular patient. I chose your Nexcare Clear Flexible Tape and it has been such a success! The patient's dressing stays intact, and so does his skin! Thank you!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am involved in community theater and have worn a small headset microphone for a few productions. I have oily skin and this is the only product that I have found that adheres well to my face. Even my liberal application doesn't really show from the audience and it keeps my microphone confidently secured!
I am a stage manager and I use this tape to tape down the microphones on actors and to help keep bandages in odd places down. The tape works well and sticks, even when the actors are sweaty from the stage lights and all their stage make-up. And the tape is clear, so the audience can't see it, whether it's holding a mic in place or a band-aid!
I had eyelid surgery, requiring me to wear a HUGE patch for a week. Upon removal, the tape left a sticky residue, which others have mentioned. I tried peroxide, alcohol, and soap and water, all to no avail. One nice reviewer recommended using baby oil. Since my "baby" is 48, I had none, so used some of my wife's high-dollar, I'm sure, "cleansing oil", and it did the job! I'm sure virtually any oil will work. It did take two applications, and a bit of a rub, so be aware.
The tape is very good, and I have not had any problem with the dispenser. However, the dispenser holds tape of 3/4 inch (from description above: Dispenser (Cat# 779): 3/4" x 7 yds) but the refills are 1 inch (2 pk. (Cat# 771-2PK): 1" x 10 yds). It is most unfortunate that the refills do not fit the dispenser.
This is the best tape I've ever used to keep my wounds covered and clean. With this tape, the bandages do NOT come off until I am ready to take them off myself! GREAT STUFF!!!
I was buying this tape to tape Maputo cannula from my oxygen to my face so it doesn't fall out at night while I move in my sleep. The tape holds well and does what I need it to. When I ran out and went to gat a new roll the had changed the dispenser it was in. I hate it! It is hard to roll the tape out to tear and I either roll too much or not enough. It causes a lot of waste. Please get rid of this “new” undesirable dispenser. Thanks!!
When the pharmacy did not have my usual clear tape for a daily patch I wear, I tried your product. The Nexcare flexible clear tape in a dispenser looked easy to use. And it is. However, later in the day it was not sticking as well as my usual brand. Then a couple of days later I was wondering what the blackish lines on my thigh were. Then I realized - even after 3-4 days and as many showers, everywhere I've taped a patch, the gummy black lines are still there! So figure this out - the tape doesn't stick as well, but the sticky residue last forever.
Used this tape to hold gauze in place 9 days ago. Removed it the very next day. I still have a red rash and blisters at the sight. I have used a different brand tape since and did not have a reaction. I used to love your products. No more. I will not recommend your products anymore
The 3M Nexcare Flexible Clear tape is a good product. However, if you pay the extra price for the convenience of the dispenser, you are wasting your money. The cutter on this is just about worthless, and you end up wasting as much tape as you use. Since you have to use scissors to cut off what you pull from this dispenser, you might as well just get the roll, and get more tape for your money.
