Got a free sample from 3M. Very good Product the sponge worked very well for sending.I was finishing a dresser that I was making this product works very well for around the corners. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This is my new best friend in the shop. From sanding sheet rock to custom body work, this little sponge is just the thing. Either for the flexibility or the rigidity, this little guy has both! I can block sand, or contour sand and just wash it right off. Love it! Get one, no several, different grits and share with a friend, they are that good! 3M, pow! You hit a homer here!! I loved this sanding block. It fit in my hand comfortably with out being bulky. I found it did a great job sanding down any rough edges or sections of wood. I used it to sand down a scrap piece of wood as a test. All in all it worked just fine for me. The channels do direct the dust away from you which is nice. I was sent a free sample sanding block for review purposes. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For as long as I can remember I have relied on sandpaper which has always done the job but been a hassle to use. I love the 3M precision sanding sponge because it fits so well in my hand and is comfortable to use while getting the job done effectively. It's been a major upgrade and is fantastic quality.
The smooth side works well on small areas. The grooved side works much better on large areas. The grooves cause the block to "self clean." Being a sponge, the sander also works well on curved surfaces. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I use hundreds of sanding sponges each year. Recently 3M gave me a free sample of the 220 grit sponge to try out. I have to say that it is better than the other sponges. If I were to only purchase a couple of sponge sanders these would be the ones... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I received this product free from 3M. My husband tried it out and said it works really well he just wished it came in a bigger size for his large hands. For the average person, its just the right size. It does a good job but seemed to wear down quicker than I expected. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this because I needed a sanding block to smooth over some wood working projects I have been working on. This sanding block did the job and retained a good portion of its grain. I will be able to use this sander a few more times before I will need to replace it. Very happy with my purchase
I bought the ultra flexible precision 80 grit sanding sponge a couple months ago. I usually am a huge fan of all 3m products that I have used through work and my hobbies. The detailing pads ripped off five mins within use. I wasn't overly aggressive with it just doing some regular sanding on my table that I've been building. Around six of the pads ripped off while a few others are holding on for dear life. Hopefully I just received a bad product and this was out of the ordinary for this sanding sponge. I've never been let down by any 3m product except for this one.
This is the worst sanding sponge I have ever used for drywall. The dust channeling is just a gimic. The small pads don't stay on the sponge and when they are there, you get a very uneven sanding. Especially on the flats of the mud. Do NOT waste your hard earn money on this piece of ----
