Easy to hold and works fast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a professional general contractor and I can say hands down, 3M sanding sponges are the best. I buy these by the pallet. The cheap sponges you can bulk buy from the local paint store are trash. Spend the extra money up front of spend 3x more on the back end.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the 3M™ Pro Grade Precision™ Faster Sanding Sanding Block Sponge, 24001PGP-F-B, 2.5 in x 4.5 in x 1 in, 120 grit, Fine about a week ago and it is a great product. I normally use 3M sanding blocks, they're very easy use and are very high quality. Make sure you are wearing gloves or your hands will suffer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been refinishing walls for painting in my house this winter. This sanding sponge is great. It quickly smooths spackle and other fillers. Wetting it really reduces the amount of dust created and makes cleaning up much easier. Generally easier to use than sand paper for smoothing spackle as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sanding block works great and is easy to use. I like using blocks like this because the sandpaper doesn't move around or rip up. The block is comfortable to use and it allows you to sand out hard to reach places. Very happy with this item and I would recommend any product from 3m.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pro Grade sanding block sponge which lasts longs and allows me to do my job much faster than comparable brands. Its made by the recognized 3M which is why it lasts so long without loosing its sanding capacity even with the hardest of surfaces

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Using this style for your sanding is a lot more economical. With paper it rips and get dull really fast. With this sponge sanding it seems not to end. I did entire dresser with 4 drawers and never had to get a new one. Plus the quality of the sanding didn't change. With it being so easy to grip it won't slip out your hand and you can apply more pressure if needed while sanding.

For a relatively expensive item the first sponge I used - coarse on a slightly curved piece of driftwood - deteriorated to useless in less than 10 minutes. So during if I ha e missed something I have looked for instructions to no avail. I will return the sponges I haven't used yet.

I have been using these 3M sanding pads since 2017. Back then I could sand away for days on end with a single pad. I recommended them to anyone and everyone especially people who needed to work on guitars like me. The pads would fold and shape beautifully to the contours of the wood and their thickness was perfect to hold between your fingers. Unfortunately, and inexplicably, these same pads are now only lasting between 5 and 15 minutes before they are no longer useable. I am still using them for the same application and the same woods - even the US Swamp Ash(a very soft wood) I was sanding today was too much for them! I am not sure what is going on - whether 3M has had production issues, quality control problems etc. However, if this is now what 3M considers an acceptable standard then I will no longer be buying them as they are ridiclously overpriced for something that you have to throw away after 5 minutes! Not to mention the environmental impact of such a throw away product. Sorry 3M, you make some incredible products, but these are no longer one of them!
