ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I've worked hundreds of hours splicing cables and installing insulated terminations using "rubber" tapes (<25kV). This, being linerless, is not only the best (non-silicone) insulating tape available yet, anywhere worldwide, but is the easiest to install. I'll not mention specific products hoping to compete with this, but where tape, as opposed to other insulation methods, is preferred or required, 130c rules.
This tape rocks! For Emergency splicing operations, this is a must have! Actually, for ALL splicing applications, this tape saves me from carrying other materials, and it works like a charm. Coupled with some Super 33+ as an overwrap, it has worked well wherever I need it. I especially like that it is linerless.
3M splicing tape is simply the best, in my opinion as a Marine Electrician. The tape is easy to work with and endures the test of time. The environment I work in is extremely hard on electrical and electronic devices. When you need to go back into a splice maybe years later, the tape is still pliable and like new.
Great price, fast delivery. #sweepstakes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
130 I great rubber tape. When stretched then applied with no wrinkles. It becomes one solid piece of insulation. Rated st 60,000 volts. Good for making underground waterproof insulation over wires. I was a active electrician in San Jose California for 34 years.
This is the preferred ethylene propylene insulating tape for cable splicing and termination work from millivolts through 69 KV. It's "linerless" characteristic is ingenious, and easily accommodated without compromise to the finished work. No strongly competing products exist (that I have encountered or have been able to find). It may not be evident to new or rare/irregular users that it must be covered with a sealant layer to exclude air, moisture, foreign substances, UV light, etc. tapes or brushed coatings work well. (33+ or 88 work best below 1kv).
I buy it every time I am making up splices and desire a no call back situation
I RECEIVED THE PRODUCT, I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH IT!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Been in the electrical industry for 27 years now and the product still out beat the other cheap brands I have used in the past
