3M WorkTunes Hearing Protector with AM/FM Digital Radio

I bought these for my husband to wear while on his lawnmower. He likes them so well he wears them while he is doing everything outside. They block outside noise so well I have to physically touch him to get his attention. LOL I have thrown something at him to get his attention.

I absolutely love these headphones. You need to follow the directions when you first get them so they work properly and receive all of the stations. I wear these when I am cutting grass on my riding lawn tractor, and using other power equipment. They block out the outside noise very well. The knobs are easy to access and control. When you turn on the radio, there is a voice that tells you what station you are on. When you turn the channel the voice tells you what station you are now on. It only does it one time when you go to another station so it does not continue to disturb what you are listening to. You can tune manually or save your presets. It is both Am and FM Stereo reception. The headset has very good reception picking up distant stations. The volume is loud enough to hear the music while I am mowing the grass, but it is not extremely loud when turned all the way up. There is also an auxiliary jack to plug in outside devices you wish to hear. They are comfortable and lightweight. It has a whip antenna so you do not have to worry about breaking it off. This is probably the greatest thing I have bought in a long time!

I use these when I mow the lawn. This version replaced one that I had used for over ten years. (The old one stopped working.) This unit is far and away a much better unit. it's slightly larger than the older unit, but it is not too big or heavy for me. The FM radio in this unit is much better than the old radio. This unit has presets with audio announcements that tell you what frequency you are on. Once the presets are set, everything except the on/off/volume control is push button that can be pushed with gloves on. Again I stress that the FM radio is very good. And yes, the hearing protection is effective too. This is a great unit and the Walmart price was the lowest anywhere.

My second set and love them great reception and sound quality. I ware them on my tractor while I'm cutting hay and can hear the radio with the tractor running.

I bought these for my husband and he loves them!!! all the noise from the tractor is gone and he can hear the music perfectly...he not only wear these when hes cutting grass, he also said he'd wear them in the house to block MY Noise !!!

Outstanding sound deadening. and sound quality for the price. I purchased these to use while mowing the lawn, and used them for the first time last week... really enjoyed having tunes playing the entire time..

Note, MP3 (or two-way radio) input is not amplified so volume is only controlled by the input device. Therefore music sound level may be marginal in a high noise condition. Liquid filled ear muffs would also be a better option especially when wearing glasses as the fit would be better and more comfortable.

Just as it was described. Comfortable enough to use while mowing, but, could be better for folks who have larger heads. Easy to use. Only issue I noticed is that the station change knob is more prominent than the on/off volume knob. But, at least the station change knob tells you what frequency your on. Haven't plugged my phone or other items into it yet. We'll see how long the battery lasts, and how the head phones hold up after time.

Very good quality. Gets all but one of my favorite Radio stations which is good for this area. Good sound quality, comfortable and has Digital tuning.

The 3M Tekk Worktunes Ear Muff Headset has a non functioning AM radio on the two units tried. The FM radio worked but the maximum volume was a little low and was directionally sensitive. They did significantly cut down on the noise level coming in from the environment.
