I love this incense holder! It's sleek and beautiful! I do break the stem down on the incense so it holds the incense better and the ashes don't make a mess!

This works very well. It's true that it is made of plastic but it still looks like metal unless you pick it up and analyze it carefully. Probably not good for burning cones because of the metal. For using cones you would need to put a piece of aluminum foil underneath it to prevent it from possibly melting the plastic or staining it with black marks. To the reviewers that complain about the hole being too big, just look at my picture and leave a second stick of old incense inside the hole and that will make the hole tight enough for the new incense stick to sit up in a perfectly vertical position. It's a good thing that the hole is so big, because this way it can accommodate larger incense sticks as well as the standard size. This is a good holder for the price and does it's job well. Takes up less space than a flat incense holder would and makes less of a mess. Put a little cup of sand, dirt or kitty litter next to it and you can use that to extinguish incense sticks if you only want to burn half of them at a time and relight them later. You can also cover the burning incense stick with a flower-vase and that will deprive it of oxygen and make the incense stick extinguish. Dont use water or else you won't be able to light it up again.

This is a nice little "golden bowl of incense", however the hole for the incense stick to fit in is rather large. I use HEM and Gonesh, and those sit loosely and lean over the side of the bowl. I'm sure there are "thicker" incense sticks that would work great with it.

This does not work for stick incense, the hole is too big. I guess it will be fine for cones but i dont have any.

It's cute, but it doesn't catch the ashes. Better suited for cones or shorter sticks.

To small the instant doesn't stay in the hall in the hall is too small and it's not deep enough.
