Poor substitute for talcum powder
The corn starch that is used in dusting powder is no substitute for regular talcum powder. Ever since talcum powder got a bad reputation (in the US only) for being mixed with asbestos, manufacturers have taken to using corn starch (with different names like topical starch etc.) instead. Corn starch tends to clump easily and can be a source of other infections - it also does not reduce friction between layers as the granules are much larger than talcum powder. I'm going back to using talcum powder from manufacturers in India and the UK
