I think melted butter needs to be poured in first or something. I used this for making cheesecake and the crust falls apart. It won’t stay together even for a bite. It’s like crust dust. Yummy but frustrating. I’ve also never used these before. I was looking for instructions to tell me to put melted butter in it or something but it didn’t say that anywhere.
The Great Value Graham 9" Pie Crust (6 oz) is a fantastic shortcut when you want to make a pie — or any dessert — without fuss. The crust has that classic graham‑cracker taste: slightly sweet and crunchy, which pairs especially well with creamy fillings, pudding pies, or fruit desserts. It’s easy to press into a pie dish and ready to fill. For the price and convenience, this is a 5‑star pick for anyone who likes quick, tasty desserts without homemade crust work!
Since buying this graham cracker crust I have stopped making it from scratch. This is perfectly even in the pan, not too sweet and you can taste the light buttery crust with your pie. When you take out the clear plastic "liner" it is actually your lid and is high enough that you can pile up your topping without it getting damaged in transit. I have already made about 4 pies and it is only March 31! I bought 4 more crusts today so that I have them handy whenever I decide to make a dessert. Reasonable priced and decent thickness.
everybody knows when you buy these pie shells you use the plastic cover for the cover of your pie. there's so much glue underneath the label that you can't get it off and use it for a cover. come on Great Value don't use so much glue use those little rubbery things that just stick the paper on so I can take it off and use it as a cover for my pumpkin cream double layer pie. other than that it's all good
When I use a graham cracker crust, I use the plastic liner as a cover for the pie. I remove the paper and wash the plastic piece. But you can’t remove the paper from this one, I’m going to have to try soaking it. It’s all shredded paper now. Disappointing. A decision made by some guy who’s never made a pie with one of these. The brand name version uses removable glue strips. So easy.
what happened to the little piece of snot that used to hold the paper on the lid? now it's super glued on and takes half hour to remove. I'll try Aldi's or something next time.
the whole purpose of buying this is so you can reuse the container that it sets in so you take the plastic off of the graham cracker crust you build your beautiful cheesecake and then you flip over the plastic see-through top and place it gently on top of the cheesecake folding in the metal foil edge to hold it in place where you put in the refrigerator. you have adhesed infused the paper to the plastic. even scrubbing was not able to remove it. the better version of this has a hot glue substance that you can just gently peel off so you can reuse the see-through top as a lid over your cheesecake. I would never recommend item to anybody.
The label is a thin paper that is FULLY glued to the lid. It comes off in pieces and leaves sticky residue, making it very frustrating to use the lid. I always wash the lids before using them, but had quite a mess and took much longer than just using the name brand ones for a few cents more that pop right off. I wont be buying these again.
Both pie crusts are in pieces. Delivered that way. All the drivers I’ve spoke to over years say the people that load the drivers cars don’t care how things get put in the car. That means parts of my order went to the person before me because everything gets thrown. I’ve had 40 pack of water on top of my bread and my eggs
The nastiest pie crust ever. No sweet at all. Texture is sand. Very, Very DRY! Wasted money on additinal products for a dessert all because walmart product brand failed to set a good expectation and experience. The taster's in the lab need to fix this.
