Whenever this item is in stock, I grab a box or two. Great to have on hand when my arthritis is active and I can't grip/break pasta evenly. It's the same product as regular spaghetti noodles, except halved by length. Hubby actually hates messing with full-length strands, but I love spaghetti just as it's made. This is a nice compromise.
I use this to make Parmesan pasta- a side I always make for BBQ chicken. It's so easy and delicious. Cook it al dente, add a stick of Kerry Gold butter, a heaping spoonful of jarlic- or minced garlic , I prefer the jarred it come in a delicious oil, and lots of Parmesan cheese. You can use any brand, fresh shaved or the grated jar it doesn't matter, just lots of it. Mix it all together in the pan you cooked the pasta- along with a bit of pasta water and you have the best side for BBQ chicken. Thank me later!! This pasta is also great for kids and people that don't like to twirl their pasta.
Great Value has always had good quality products. Their spaghetti is no exception. One of the great features is that these are half size strands so you don't have to break them in half before cooking. Why do you break them in half ask some. 1) My pot is small but deep, this allows the spaghetti to cook more evenly without sticking together. 2) If you have young children it makes it easier for them to spool on their fork. Less mess, less frustration.
Great Value Half-Length Spaghetti has become one of my favorite pantry staples because it's so convenient! The shorter noodles make cooking, serving, and eating so much easier, especially for kids and my grandchildren. They fit perfectly in the pot without having to break the noodles, and they're much easier to twirl onto a fork with less mess. We use them for classic spaghetti, baked pasta dishes, and hearty meat sauces, and they cook up perfectly every time. The quality is excellent, the taste is just as good as more expensive brands, and the price makes it an even better value. Once you try half-length spaghetti, it's hard to go back to regular spaghetti!
I never thought I'd have strong opinions about spaghetti, but here we are. One of my biggest kitchen pet peeves is breaking regular spaghetti in half to fit it into the pot. It never breaks cleanly. Instead, tiny spaghetti shards launch across the kitchen like they're trying to escape for freedom. Maybe some people don't mind that. I am not one of those people. That's why I decided to try these half-length noodles, and honestly, I'm sold. They fit perfectly in my pot without any breaking, snapping, or surprise pasta projectiles. They cook up just like regular spaghetti, taste exactly as they should, and make dinner prep just a little less irritating. The fact that they're priced like regular spaghetti is the icing on the cake. Or, in this case, the sauce on the pasta. These have officially replaced full-length spaghetti in my pantry. My kitchen floor is probably happier about it too.
My kids love pasta. My adult kids, my teenagers and grand kids. The spaghetti pasta is the most requested type of pasta in my household. I am required to keep this in stock within my pantry at all times or my kids get upset. I have been using the Great Value brand of pasta for decades. I've never had bad boxes of pasta no matter what shape of pasta I purchase. All of my dishes turn out beautifully. I also like that I don't go broke feeding my family.
I prefer this half length pasta. It's just the right length for making my favorite bdishes.I don't have to worry about breaking it in half and all the noodle the same length Just the right amount to twirl on your fork. Great value brand cost less and the quality is great.
Crazy good idea? Yes sir! No more snapping your pasta over a pot of boiling water and risking a shard of dry spaghetti in the eye. This solves that problem while also solving the “my pasta don't fit in the pot” crisis. Same taste, same cost. Nona approved! Highly recommend! Gratzi.
Such a small thing, but makes a difference. The half length noodles are actually really nice, especially with kids. Less mess, easier to cook, and no breaking pasta over the pot. Cooks the same as regular spaghetti and tastes just as good, just more convenient to deal with. Perfect for quick dinners when you do not want extra hassle. I will keep buying this over regular spaghetti.
Love how the noodles are already in half. It doesn't take much effort or strength to break them to go in my pot but not having loose pieces all over my stove and floor definitely worth it. Plus they come in normal full size 1 pound box and they cost the same amount as the normal box!!!
