These are good with 3 minutes of slow simmer followed by 3 minutes of sitting in the covered pot before eating These are also the most economical to buy. NOTE - instant oats or one minute oats are not as healthy because they have been chopped too fine for healthy digestion - they digest too fast and elevate your blood sugar (high glycemic index) while providing less effective fiber. Include the very high added sugar in instant oat packets and you have a recipe for diabetes. The canister lid should be recycled and the paper canister is easy to flatten and recycle - make an X shaped cut in the bottom panel to flatten it.

I was skeptical about ordering the great value brand oats because I always order the name brand so I ordered a small package just in case. I am so happy with my purchase! I wish I would have just ordered the biggest package of the oats for my family. They are so good! Definitely ordering these in a bigger size next time.

I'm sure the oatmeal is fine. this was the only place I could find to post a picture of how poorly my items were put in my trunk with the bread squished because a gallon of water was put on top of the one bag. there's more than 10 bags in the trunk to use but this is how they decided to throw everything in the trunk.

I usually order the large size. 2 smaller were substituted. I much prefer the smaller size. They stay fresher %26 store easier. Tastes great either way. Cheaper %26 fulfilling also.

I eat a lot of oats these days mostly for health reasons. This Great Value product has consistent quality and the price is not bad. I have purchased this many times.

My wife made oatmeal with this and it tasted like soap. At first we thought maybe it was the pot and that the dishwasher had failed its job at rinsing. We tried the oats another time and they still tasted like soap. I would not buy these unless you want poison yourself.

I've been buying this brand for a while, but I recently bought a batch that tasted to strange! Almost like soap!! I thought my blueberries had gone bad but I realized the oats container had a very strong smell. Oats should not smell, so I'm so confused and concerned.
