Walmarts most affordable Healthy cooking option

HulonPate April 11, 2026

Cooking with other oils leads to swelling and bad heart health. This makes fried foods a little less worrying. I would totally recommend this for cooking fries to frozen foods that you might otherwise cook on air fryer mode. Also great for frying fish. Coconut oil also has other home remedies for dogs and humans.

Great quality, multiple purposes

Mia January 13, 2026

Great value organic coconut oil is a high quality Coconut oil that saves you money by not having to pay extra for advertisement like brand named Coconut oils. Coconut oil has countless uses and is so good for us and our fur babies. I use it for cooking, as a moisturizer, lip balm, for fly away hairs, oil pulling for healthy gums, as a massage oil and as an add in to my Dog's home cooked dog food. I highly recommend this brand for the quality and to help you save.

Save your money and buy THIS coconut oil!

Carrie June 18, 2025

I use coconut oil in cooking/baking and really love the Great Value brand. I've tried more expensive ones, but there's really no difference (except the price tag!). I consider myself pretty health conscious, and this is my go-to brand of coconut oil for all my baking/cooking needs.

Replacement for healthy eating!

Katherine January 7, 2026

I purchased this right after the holidays when I realized many of my holiday recipes called for unhealthy ingredients. I discovered by simply replacing cooking oils with refined coconut oil made it more healthy food/desserts. Looking forward to implementing this in all my dishes/desserts in 2026.

14 Oz. jars have gone up way in price lately. Expire date is three years. I make infused oil. Suntan oil 5 SPF. Great for the skin and hair. Naturally extracts yeast from skin, athletes foot, dry, cracked feet. Any area with yeast irritations. Consuming is good for body, It is not stored fat but goes to the liver for energy which give your kidneys a break. Enjoy!

Coconut Oil -- Healthy and Easy to Use

Anonymous April 30, 2026

Coconut oil is healthy and has a very high flash point. That makes it superb for frying or anything requiring oil. It does not go rancid with age. The expeller pressed variety also has no coconut taste. This variety that I'm reviewing is a staple in my kitchen for all the above reasons. I always have it on hand. To those who are not familiar with it, it melts at room temperature. So when one opens the jar, it may be liquid or a soft solid. It makes no differnce what its state may be, it is usable in either state. I highly recommend this oil.

Big jug, solid coconut smell, works for everything

DPB April 29, 2026

MI bought this 56 fl oz jug of organic coconut oil because I go through it faster than I expected. I use it for roasting vegetables, making popcorn on the stovetop, and sometimes as a moisturizer for my elbows in the winter. The big size made sense financially, and I liked that it says naturally refined, so I figured it wouldn't have that overpowering coconut scent in my food. The first thing I noticed when I opened the jug is that the smell is present but mild. It's not like unrefined coconut oil where your whole kitchen smells like a tropical vacation. This one has a faint nutty-coconut background note that disappears once you heat it up. The texture at room temperature is solid but soft, almost like butter that's been sitting out for an hour. In a hot pan, it melts quickly and evenly. I made roasted sweet potatoes with it and they came out crispy on the outside and tender inside with no weird aftertaste. For stovetop popcorn, it worked beautifully—better than vegetable oil in my opinion. Here's my one frustration. This oil smokes at a lower temperature than I expected. I tried searing chicken thighs with it and the pan started smoking before the chicken got a good crust. I've since switched to avocado oil for high-heat cooking and use this coconut oil for medium or low heat only. The 56 oz jug is heavy and the opening is wide, so pouring into a smaller jar is smart unless you have steady hands. I'm hoping this lasts me at least six months without going rancid. I keep it in a dark cabinet and so far so good. Great for baking, roasting, popcorn, and skin. Not great for searing steak. Big coconut energy, low smoke point reality

Economy not Quality

SABRINA November 13, 2025

This economy size was not worth the lack of taste %26 quality that the regular size had. The economy size had a greasy lard quality, unlike the coconutty substance in the regular size. I even use a long handle spoon to get to the bottom in case it settled there. Not so. I was dissapointed. I expected and wanted the coconut flavor that enhances the favor I cook with it.

No coconut smell or taste

My2Boyz January 21, 2026

I've been buying organic coconut oil for years, though first time trying this Great Value brand. Something is definitely off about this one as there is absolutely no coconut smell or taste whatsoever, which makes me question what kind of oil we actually got. Real coconut oil has a very distinct and natural coconut smell and taste. I will not be buying this brand again.
