Overall a great snack. The texture can be a little random sometimes. Some pieces can be oily and soft and some are hard and dry. The flavor is actually peppery and not too salty. The price could be better for the amount you get but for a protein snack it is great.

I had a hard time finding jerky that wasn't minced and formed, like Jack Links. I tried several brands, looking for the "back in the day" real meat that was a piece of meat that had been cut. I finally found it when I bought this perfect texture and amazing flavor in this jerky. If you're looking for REAL beef jerky, your search is over! Great value, great taste, great texture, strips of cut beef. Highly recommend! The peppered is my favorite!

Jerky is way over priced in many cases; the Great Value brand is good and not ridiculously expensive. If you want to pay more you can I'm not that highfalutin with my meals. I suggest saving the 4 plus dollars for something else where it makes a difference. Facial tissues perhaps?

The flavor is perfect for a peppered jerky. you get a really good amount for the price, as well. The texture is softer than a lot of other jerky brands. It's not all dried out and tough, and it has a nice moisture and softer bite to it. It's definitely my favorite peppered jerky!

been snacking on beef jerkies for eons. this brand actually ranks top notch. very tender good cut of beef. ordered them couple of time, but lately its been more flavorful and tender. sobfor now 5 stars since even the brand call j link doesn't match this jerky...fir now

This is the best beef jerky I've ever had. It has lots of flavor, peppery and sweet. It's also the softest beef jerky that I've ever had, which is exactly what I was looking for. I would highly recommend this beef jerky. It's definitely our new go-to.

Took a chance on the Walmart brand because we love beef jerky, but most name brands are insanely expensive. I've paid $7-$8 for bags that were HALF the size of the Great Value 10oz bag. It is GREAT! The peppered is just spicy enough and the pieces are huge and tender.

It's one of those 'surprise' "Great Value" products. The taste is good, the texture is good, and the price is a better value than other similar jerky's. That said, this is not a nutritional value review NOR is it a longevity review (which one might want with something like jerky). It is just a snack that I like and eat likely before it has time to 'go bad' (where a great jerky might last for longer, maybe - unknown.)

I opened the package on a Monday, ate one small piece on my way out the door to check on Mom. Stored the zip sealed package in a dry dark place (pantry). On the following Monday, I went to the pantry to make a shopping list and went to take another piece from the package to snack on, and the entire contents were Molded! Exp Date says good until 2026, so it concerns me, about what was in there that caused it to mold so quickly after opening, or was it already molding when I opened it?

Purchased this brand to save a few dollars. Starting off the bat the flavor did not taste like beef. I don't know what kind of mystery meat this is but I can tell you it's probably not a fresh cow. it tasted sickeningly sweet which most peppered jerky i know do not taste nearly as sweet. and it wasn't in a sweet barbecue kind of way either. Overall it tasted a slighty a bit off. i did not even attempt to digest that piece , straight to the trash! Not even a hint of peppery flavor anywhere. I'll spend the $15 on the other brand that I prefer.
