I'm too lazy to make my own broth or stock, so I've been using this for years; I also buy it in the 32 oz. and 48 oz. cartons. It's very good in recipes, and I've even used it now and then just for gravy. Bring it close to a boil, stir in a cornstarch slurry, and you have delicious chicken gravy in just a minute or two. You can't beat the taste, versatility and convenience of this broth, and it's cheaper than the other brands.
We used this chicken broth to make an amazing chicken soup! We put so many vegetables and pieces of grilled chicken meat in there! It was more like a stew. It gave the house an amazing aroma! When complete, the chicken soup was out of this world! You really need to try this broth! So good!
This item is something I keep on hand and not just during holiday cooking season.. One of the primary reasons is when anyone is suffering from an upset stomach a cup of chicken broth is often the only thing that can be tolerated.. Just a cup of the hot broth is perfect to sip on and helps settle the stomach. Additionally it's not overly salty so you can add as desired.
We switched to the can broth from the box broth. Reason is, the cap would be sealed on the box, but the inner pool tab on several cartons was not in place made us wonder if it was the machine or tampered with. So we went to the canned broth ! And it's a little bit cheaper. I used it in cooking as a base for my soup, etc. but nothing's better than a cup of hot broth to warm you up on the cold days better than coffee or cocoa in my opinion.
Great Value Chicken Broth is one of those kitchen essentials I always keep stocked. It's flavorful without being overpowering, making it perfect for soups, stews, rice dishes, and even sautéing vegetables. The taste is clean and savory, and it adds just the right depth to homemade recipes. I especially appreciate how affordable it is compared to name brands—yet it performs just as well. Whether I'm cooking for a crowd or whipping up a quick weeknight meal, this broth never lets me down. Highly recommended for anyone who wants quality and value in one carton!
Absolutely NOT a fan of the canned broth. Does not taste the same as the boxed broth, canned is also way too salty. Will not be buying canned broth ever again if I can help it.
I use this in soups and stews. anything that calls for beef broth. except for my dog's food they can't have the salt. works great if you can't afford to use the beef bone broth all the time.
I used this can of chicken broth for a recipe I had for fried rice. The price was great - campbell soup is too expensive. The only problem I had was I didn't realize the can was larger then campbell soup. Next time I'll know and use less. But for the price, you can't beat it.
Way too salty, not very beefy flavored, tastes kind of chemically, I don't know if there are preservatives in it, but it tastes like that might be the problem. I won't be buying it again, instead I'll just use a reconstituted bouillon cube and use no salt.
I purchased this beef broth in a rush for a specific recipe. While it served it's purpose, all of my guests had the same reaction---too salty. Considering I added no salt at all to the dish, only the broth, the overpowering salt took away from the meal itself. I didn't like the taste and wouldn't recommend.
