I had a heart attack and they told me to watch my salt, so I bought these, which are like 55mg salt per ounce, if you measure them out on a scale, I eat these now instead of crackers and they don't taste low salt, I highly recommend them for taste, salt content (or lack of), and price
I have been unable to find another company that has lightly salted tortilla chips so I am very grateful that Walmart has some. They are good, and my secret is to dip them in Walmart's chili sauce. I do not worry much about the chili sauce because I have already added water to thin the sodium, as it were.
WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE......NOTHING!! EVERY CHIP IS TASTY, NOT TO SALTY AND THEY PAIR WELL WITH DIPS AND SALSA....NAMELY, PAUL NEWMAN'S CHUNKY SALSA....SIMPLY DELICIOUS!! THE PRICE COMPARED TO OTHER CHIPS IS BY FAR THE BETTER CHOICE!! I ONLY BUY THESE FOR DIPS AND SALSA AND I WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO!!
In my opinion, these have just the right amount of salt. So many tortilla chips have way too much salt. These have a good crispiness and a good size for dipping. They have a nice corn taste that adds to any dip you like. Considering the price, this is a great value for the money.
Personally I could do without the salt altogether. Americans have way too much salt in their diet and especially when you’re eating something like chips where you might get carried away DON’T LOOK IN MY BAG the less salt, the better. Yes, I ate a lot of them, even with them being lightly salted, but I didn’t feel bad about it afterward.
Good chips, but too salty for my tastes; I would not call them "lightly salted". But otherwise, the flavor is good, crispness is excellent, and size is great for scooping salsa. I like them, but would like them even more if they were less salty.
The amount of salt was OK, since I wanted less, but the taste of these things was awful. I ordered these after I ordered the Cantina Tostitos which are yellow and delicious-- but very salty, So I found LowSalt Tostitos.. Haven't tried them yet. But LOVE the Cantiina Yellow chips. And by comparison these are tasteless.. You never feel like you're getting any flavor. I ordered them bc someone posted that if you're going to less salt, might be smart to get these instead of paying more for LowSalt Tostitos. I haven't tried those yet but they have to be better than these... Sorry--this if the first GV product I don't like. Better luck next time I hope.
These are typically very good. I always buy these; they're my favorite. Except, this time they were stale. I almost broke a tooth. I bought 2 bags; one was split open on the seam which would explain the staleness. I guess it was an issue in shipping and handling more than production, unless it happened with bagging. Anyway, these were very stale.
I bought two bags thinking great value is usually pretty good compared to name brand. Not these. They were stale and flavorless. I felt like I was going to break a tooth biting into the chip. I opened the second bag to make sure it wasn't just something wrong with the bag and the second bag was the same. My teeth hurt after trying these.
not sure how u ruin the taste of tortilla chips but they sure did it! plenty of crunch but no backup flavor of mild sweet corn like they used to have. in fact what little flavor they do have isn't good at all. next time I'll cut pieces from a card board box and eat that instead!
