In 2019 I'd buy 7 of these at once bc we'd go through them in a flash. Then 2020 hit, inflation, more inflation %26 did I mention inflation 🤯. Cost now a lil over $2.00..😤So I'll only buy if it's a special occasion.. Doesn't have spicy heat to it.. Pricey but delicious...
Great Value Steak Sauce tastes nearly identical to A.1. It's actually very difficult telling the difference in a blind taste test. A.1. advertises celery in the ingredients, which Great Value does not, although they might include it under the 'spice' moniker. Sometimes A.1. tastes more pungent, then Great Value tastes more pungent. One is more tangy, then the other. Maybe it's just the time of day, the way you feel, try again and it's the other way around. To me they taste identical and Great Value is at a lower price point. A.1. has the nicer glass bottle though.
I'm all about saving money but want good quality. I have bought a lot of Great Value items and loved them so after reading the reviews I purchased this Great Value Savory Steak Sauce. My grandson loved it as much as the brand name, so I'm going to buy this in the future and save over a $1 a bottle.
Very Very good, Very tasty on a lot of foods, even in sandwiches. I experiment with adding this even if it is just a couple of drops to zip-up flavors, but not really recognize that it is there, or just load it on, or use it as a dipping sauce all by it's self. I love this stuff
Love to put this on my burgers as I cook them with a little liquid smoke, minced garlic and onion, black pepper, and a hint of Dan-o's spicy flavoring. After cooking I apply Duke's Mayo on both sides of my Great Value Hamburger Buns, add a leaf of Lettuce, slice of Tomato, a few Great Value Jalapeno Slices, Mustard, and Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce. Delicious!
Better than name brand. I saw other reviews that said the same thing and I was skeptical cause the others I've tried haven't come close but for the price compared to the brand I figured it was worth a shot. I don't think I will go back to the name brand. I like this one better.
There's just something about the taste of a piece of a NY Strip Steak with a drop of Savory Steak Sauce on it to officially kick off BBQ grilling season each April in the Adirondacks. Great on cube steak that is covered with vadala onion rings that the steam cooks under the lid of a skillet with a little Worcestershire sauce drizzled on the beef the night before. Don't add too much but too little isn't good either. Then when fully cooked add a 50¢ piece size circle on your plate of the steak sauce from Walmart to dunk your cube steak in.
I'll admit it: I'm a steak sauce snob. For years, A1 has been my go-to, and I was convinced that every cheaper alternative would leave me disappointed. The problem is that A1 has gotten expensive, and considering how often I use steak sauce, that starts to add up. So I finally decided to give this Great Value version a chance, and honestly, I'm glad I did. To my taste buds, it delivers everything I'm looking for in a steak sauce. It's tangy, flavorful, and pairs perfectly with steak, burgers, and just about anything else that finds its way onto my plate. In a blind taste test, I'm not convinced I'd be able to tell the difference. The biggest surprise is the price. It costs significantly less than the name brand, which means I don't feel quite so guilty keeping a bottle on hand at all times. If you're loyal to the name brand but tired of paying name-brand prices, this is absolutely worth trying. It has earned a permanent place in my refrigerator right next to the other condiments I put on... well... just about everything.
Walmart ad said a quantity of 4 steak sauces, but I recd only 3!!!! Bummer...got scammed again....you can never get in touch with them....I have been calling %26 calling %26 calling since Tuesday %26 all the phone dies is ring, ring, ring but no one picks up....is this how Wlmart is starting to react to customers when its their people who do not pack the correct items for delivery!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess I will start having Amazon as my %231 to order from because Amazon has never forgot, scammed me out of any oders where its suppose to be 4 %26 not three or whatever the items says its suppose to be....I dont like to ve scammed nor having items missing that I paid for!!!!!
I'm clearly in the minority here, but this didn't taste anything like A1. I should've known better. Tried a little tonight with my roast and it was awful. It went directly into the trash and a real bottle of A1 went into my online cart. Lesson learned. Some GV items are fine substitutes. This was not.
