(4 pack) Great Value Shredded Chicken Breast with Rib Meat, 10 oz Can

Didn't know about this product. Was buying the regular (unshredded) chicken breast in a can to add to soups, salads, or other recipes. The regular canned chicken is chunky, so I sometimes have to put in a bowl to mash it with a fork to make finer pieces, like when mixing in with fried rice. Don't have to that with this shredded chicken. Will buy the regular canned chicken for most recipes, or when I just open a can to have as a snack, but the shredded variety is handy for non-wet recipes (i.e., other than soup or stew) to help mix into the other ingredients. You are definitely paying a higher price for the convenience of not having to do the shredding yourself. The shredded variety is 134% the price of the regular canned chicken. I will buy again, but only when preferred in a recipe. That is, I won't stock this, but buy when needed.

I make chicken salad with this. The chicken is white and very delicious. You can make it your way %26 use for sandwiches, on crackers or on lettuce leaves %26 wraps.

Delicious. Good value for the money. Can make a nice protein addition to maybe a rice or pasta dish. I personally will mix it with some cream cheese and ranch powder and throw it on top of some zucchini that has been cutting half. Pop that in the oven and you have a delicious meal.

My husband brought this stuff home and I was like What! That's not my normal brand - ewww, but I was hangry so I went ahead and cracked one open. Wow!! This is my brand now! Taste, texture, not too salty - this is the only canned chicken allowed in my house now.

price is very reasonable for white meat chicken plus no nitrates is a big plus. it is difficult to find the "shredded" chicken in the stores so I just order it online. I use it to make chicken salad and also use for extra protein in my Shih Tsu. Buddy's food. Also works well in casseroles, tacos and burritos. very versatile and tastes good.

Pull the tab up a little bit, drain the liquid. Rinse with water a couple of times, drain completely, pull top completely off and add to a package of GV chicken gravy mix and 1 cup water and it makes Great chicken %26 gravy. Pour over any kind of cooked rice, or mashed potatoes, or hot GV buttermilk biscuits for a really tasty meal. I am hooked on it. Serves two with no problem.

I just had this with crackers. Love the taste and the texture of the shredded chicken. Easy to make with just one or two ingredients. It is also a good size portion of chicken. And you can't beat the price.

This is a great option if you just need a small amount of chicken and don't wanna cook a whole chicken it's easy it's convenient and it taste good. It worked fine in the recipe that I needed it for.
