I always just used to automatically assume that the more expensive pasta was always the best to buy. Then when I moved to Florida from NY Walmart became my supermarket and I tried their pasta. It is exceptionally good and delicious as well. Who could not like something that is as good, or better, than the other pastas?
Some of us in this family are part Italian. Besides that, everyone is an Italian food lover amongst other culture foods. For a spaghetti noodle we always go for this 1 lb/4 pack for our family of 3 adults. We mix up noodle types for variety sometimes but we always have this in hand/stock. But ain't no pasta like Italy hand made fresh ingredients pasta but while in USA and little to know time to hand make pasta this is our go to.
My issue with this product isn't the product itself but the pricing. If I'm going to buy four packs of spaghetti in a single box, I expect it to be slightly less in price than if I bought 4 individual boxes, and Walmart doesn't do that. What's the incentive?
If you divide the price of this package by 4:00 since there are four 1 lb packages you're actually paying about $0.50 a pound on the spaghetti. where if you buy a 1 lb box it'll cost you like $0.98 so you're actually saving money by buying that and you don't have to run out and get spaghetti so quickly. what you could do is when the water comes to a boil not only add your salt and keep stirring so it doesn't stick but take like a half a capful per pound of Italian seasoning put it in the palm of your hand and rub it rub your hands together over the pot before you put the pasta in The pasta will cook and it will have the taste of the Italian seasoning. Even if you don't add the seasoning it's still a great choice
Noodles, yo! Cheapest option for spaghetti noodles I could find here at Walmart (on app). They all taste the same to me when doused with sauces! So, go cheap and stretch that dollar!! Everything is sooo expensive now, gotta get our money's worth!! Buying bulk works for my fat tushy tush! Tomato based Italian style sauce first night's dinner, leftover pasta tomorrow night will have peanut butter and coconut milk with red curry for a Thai flair! Travel the world through food… Bon Voyage!!
Compared to other brands of regular spaghetti noodles these are equal in quality. its separated into 1lb packs inside the box. if i could improve this I'd make those bags ziplock because 1lbs is too much for my situation. but other than that these are nice and come at a better price.
Love everything about the spaghetti pasta. The price, the individual packs, cooks easily and quickly (which is what a mom wants for hungry kids) pasta keeps firm form and blends with whatever sauce it's used for even good plain with a little oil and herbs, I recommend this pasta with bertolli Alfredo sauce add shrimp and it taste better than Olive Garden shrimp Alfredo
Unless you are an extreme foodie pasta is pasta. The texture is up to you because most people overcook it. Likewise the taste is mostly about what sauce you use. You might as well save some money. Unless you want bragging rights that your pasta was hand made by Italian grandmothers in small batches for 10x the price.
We're Italian, and this is our favorite spaghetti. A tad thicker than standard spaghetti from other brands, the taste and texture is great. The price is exceptional for 4lbs. Would definitely recommend
Being able to order my food and pick it up on my way home from work is the best thing ever working two jobs don't have a lot of time except for the weekends to do shopping so I appreciate this way of shopping
