The macha goes down smooth hot or cold, perfectly blends with both regular and plant based milk when firs dissolved in hot water, and it works wonders as an added boost of caffeine in other teas. I love to make a cup of oolong and throw in a dessert-spoon's worth of macha with my favorite sweeter. Helps with my focus and it's a great alternative to coffee and energy drinks.
I’m so glad that I ended up purchasing this. This really tastes just like a Starbucks iced matcha latte at home but for about $2 a drink rather than $6 or more! I used 3 tsp of the matcha flavor with the same amount of water and oat milk listed on the instructions to make the suggested stronger version then added the ice. I often get my iced matcha latte unsweetened so I may need to get just their plain ceremonial grade matcha for that. Will definitely purchase again!
Really wish Walmart sold the big 17oz container. Mixed it with the right amounts and poured it over my iced great value lactose free milk. You can definitely taste the tea leaf flavor once it hits your tongue. Kinda reminds you of unsweetened tea so if you want flavoring, buy flavoring. Doesn't have a smell once mixed with your milk but when you open the bag, it smells a bit sweet. I do recommend opening with scissors and not the pull tab if you want to continue to use the Jade Leaf zip bag as mine tore underneath the zipper so had to put it in a jar.
I've never had Matcha B4. I picked Jade Leaf bcuz its organic and from Matchas homeland, Japan. I prepared my Matcha latte as per the instructions the first time. A few oz of hot water to 'brew' the Matcha B4 adding it 2 ur milk choice. The Matcha smells very 'greenie' like and I was skeptical because I don't usually care for that flavor profile but I pushed forward and added it 2my organic grass-fed whole milk and stirred, it became creamy and that greeny smell went away. I took a tiny sip at first and realized that this is a wonderful drink! I don't drink anything except coffee, milk or water I've been that way for many years, needless to say I was very pleased. My next cup I warmed up the milk and put the Jade leaf matcha latte mix directly into the warm milk no greeny smell and an extra creamy wonderful drink. I drank all 10 servings in my pouch within a few days and now I'm on my second order. I can definitively say that I will drink matcha latte for the rest of my life. I also used my organic coconut milk and I can honestly say the coconut milk is so thick and so creamy that I had to add water with equally delightful results. I'm hooked.
I love this matcha !! It’s saving money ! Follow the directions and it’s better than Dunkin and Starbs . I use almond milk instead of regular milk and it’s slightly sweet but not over the top . This is now on my weekly grocery list
Excellent blend of matcha flavor with a hint of sweetness. Avoid using boiling water for the matcha. The right temperature is just boldly warm to the touch, not hot. Hot, boiling water ruins tge flavor, it makes it slightly bitter. About 160F is the right temp to get the true matcha latte.
The care and manufacturing of this green tea is exceptional. I have had the opportunity to visit the tea fields where this matcha was grown. The utmost care and excellent conditions of the soil, clean air/environment, and farming techniques/harvesting, preparation/storage/processing facility are EXCEPTIONAL! This matcha's depth of flavor is greater than any barista in the USA. In Japan, the tea plant is revered and sacred. Green tea in Japan is not mass farmed/produced like in America, China, or other parts of Asia. The fields are small and are tended every day. The Green tea process has the full attention of the farmer. The region in Japan where this tea is harvested is well known for its pristine environment, good rainfall, clean water, and excellent soil.
Product is more of a sweet matcha than an earthy, product is good for those who like matcha a little more sweet but probably not good for those looking for that earthy, bitter flavor.
the pack is sooooo small and you have to use WAY more of it to even turn your milk green... there is barely any flavor to it 😕 very bummed out. i wouldnt recommend at all. the pic has 2 tablespoons in it and the serving size was supposed to be 2 teaspoons. In the photo i used a dunkin cup cuz i work there but its nowhere even close to as good as dunkins.
The whole bag is mainly made up of sugar. The first ingredient is sugar, and very little actual Matcha. Real Matcha should not contain sugar at all.
