This Mainstay Mette brown Dinner Bowl is a very very nice dish. When I ordered this dish I thought that I was getting more than one, but do really like the dish. It is a very nice dish for soups or runny meals. I like how this dish can be classed up or used every day. It is dish washer and microwave safe. Which makes this very versatile dish a great addition to my kitchen. That is why I will be getting more of them to make complete set.

It's a ceramic dinner bowl. Neutral tan color. It weighs 1lb 13oz on my kitchen scale. Inside measurement is 8" and is almost 1.75" high. It holds 32 oz liquid. It is dishwasher and microwave safe. The sticker says it may get hot in the microwave. I would recommend it.

I really like this bowl, it is sturdy (weighing in at 1.8 pounds) and a great size (measuring 8.5" across and about 1.5" deep). The color is a soft neutral and the glazing is flawless, no drips or missed spots. But what I especially like about it is how the sides are not sloped, they are basically straight up. For a senior like me, that really helps a lot with getting food onto a fork or spoon and not accidentally pushing it out of the bowl. Another plus is that it can be washed in the dishwasher and is microwave safe. I hadn't planned on cooking with it but it's helpful to be able to heat food up in a microwave right in the bowl (although there is a warning that it can become hot in the microwave). It is stoneware and will require care handling so it doesn't get chipped, but it is not thin or fragile. I especially plan to use it with dishes that have a topping, such as spaghetti and meat sauce and salad with dressing, because it will be easy to distribute the topping throughout (not just have it on the top) without spilling the food out of the bowl. I am very pleased with this bowl.

This Mainstays Brown Dinner Bowl is an awesome, heavy-duty bowl. However... I did not get it as a dinner bowl... I got it for a plant pot bottom bowl! I know, call me weird, it does seem too heavy to use on a dinner table, but it is PERFECT to place under a pot to capture water overflow. I am also contemplating getting another one to use for a dog bowl. Great, well made, heavy duty bowl! For a dinner bowl it's suspect, 'cause it's kind of heavy!

I needed a serving bowl for Thanksgiving - This worked out great as it contained the turkey, and I bought the 4 pack of smaller bowls which I used for mash potatoes, dressing, and peas. Cleanup was a snap as they are dishwasher and microwave safe.

These bowls are perfect to hold and they are nice. They were little warm when we touch the heating items in this dinner bowl. I have looked for many bowls but these bowl are deep enough to hold salad and pasta. Really enjoyed my dinner on this plate and I was really happy with it.

Nice quality, shallow stoneware bowl. Approx 8 1/2” in diameter. I love the matte brown color. Many uses for this bowl from eating/serving food, to using to store tomatoes in my kitchen. It does get fairly hot in the microwave. The raised ring around the bottom is unglazed, therefore causing scuffs on whatever surface it may slide across.

The Mainstays Brown Dinner bowl will certainly fill the bill for one seeking to acquire a good quality serving instrument that can attractively coordinate within a full place setting. And it can certainly succeed in complementing other utility uses such as holding plants and decor. It seems to be of excellent quality although it does get hot when microwaved. However, it is certified dishwasher and microwave safe. Some may complain that it is rather large for an individual serving bowl, but better a bit large than small--everyone has individual preferences. I could better comment on it's aesthetic value had I a complete place setting. Nevertheless, if the accompanying accessories are similar in quality to it, the bowl should make for a nice acquisition.

Ordered 2 of these. While it’s a very nice bowl, one arrived shattered. Walmart wants me to package the bowl and return it for a replacement. It cost a little o er $2. Not worth the hassle. I could understand returning it if it was a costly item. It would cost more to have FedEx pick it up and return it. I know Walmart is paying the shipping but seems like a total waste to me.

Stoneware dinner plate in brown color. I was disappointed to pick up the box and hear broken pieces rattling in the box. I carefully opened the box so not to spill any broken shards onto the floor. I was really disappointed.
