I LOVE THE ICE TRAYS I JUST RECENTLY BOUGHT THEY COME WITH A TOP SO THE WATER DONT SPILL OUT THEN THERES A LITTLE TOP YOU CAN OPEN AND JUST POUR THE WATER DOWN IN IT THEN SHUT IT BACK UP THEN WHEN ITS FROZE TAKE THE TOP OFF GET YOUR ICE AND COVER IT BACK UP WHERE NOTHING CAN SPILL ON IT
Our refrigerator ice maker hasn't worked in over a year. We bought an ice maker, that too failed. We were stuck buying huge ice bags from the market, which were harder to store in the refrigerator freezer!! Finally I decided, since I've been shopping at Walmart anyway to do a little browsing. All this time you had the solution to our problem. It was exactly what we needed! The second I opened them, they went straight to work!! They were great and will always be!! Thanks again 😃
My Mainstays ice tray with its 14 molds and cover is economical and easy to remove the cubes from their moldings. The trays freezes well and quickly, just in case you need more ice cubes formed in a hurry. It's sturdy and easy to store and clean. It is definitely a good value for the money that I spent!
These ice cube trays are better than the name brand version that I have. These crack out easily without the ice breaking into small pieces, and they last longer in your glass that way. I used to buy ice by the 20 lb bag, but when the price on that went up too high, I started making my own. These ice cube trays are perfect for me and are much more affordable than $5 a bag for store bought ice!
I rated this slow on ease of use because it's very hard to get the lid off. I use it to freeze a little bit of leftovers of enchilada sauce and tomato paste, lemon juice, etc. Everything is frozen of course when you get the lid off so you're not going to spill anything. For the price, it's great. And I bought five of them and they're all in use.!
Flimsy construction, twists when filled and overflows on the way to the freezer. The cover and its opening's purpose are unknown.;they make filling more difficult obscuring contents leading to overfilling. Attached it does not make handling a water-filled tray any easier because it doesn't prevent leakage . it would have been better if they took the plastic of the cover and added it to the tray making the tray directly stackable and more rigid.
I really liked the idea of a covered ice tray. There's a hole in the top for the water to enter. Unfortunately, I have to tip it to make sure the water runs evenly to the ends. Water does tend to come out over the edges. Like other plastic ones, it has to be twisted to release the ice cubes. Overall, it is a nice little ice tray.
Makes perfect cubes, Easy empty - just twist the tray and ice cubes tumble out. The removable lid is a great feature, but, the lids are thin... they could be a little thicker. The lids make it easy to refill and easy to stack them in the freezer.
Don't waste your money. The 1st one broke less than a week after I started using these. The 2nd just a few days later. They're cheap %26 flimsy, plus the lid is sharp and could cut your fingers if you're not careful trying to pry it off the tray. Tossed in the garbage because it wasn't worth the trouble to return them to the store. Get the Sterlite ice cube trays instead. I've got two sets that are over 5 years old and still working like brand new.
The lid doesn't stay well. Besides that, one of the trays is hard to get the ice out of. It stinks to the tray and has to bust out, leaving ice shards in the tray. It is an odd thing, but I've noticed it since day 1. After a few months, that tray broke.
