As far as I can tell, The text is printed directly onto the red background but has an acrylic front so the ink does not run. It comes with some mounting stickers but it also has holes zip ties can fit through so I mounted it with them on a fence. It lasted through a storm with no damage and the text is really clear! I'm happy with it.

I placed it in front of my house where there is a cement step that has been crumbling for some time. It was semi easy to install. It is made out of a hard plastic so I think it'll do fine in any kind of weather.
