This was so easy to use and flavorful! I love simple cooking since I am so on the go and this was very simple to use. Flavor tasted great and was kid approved. I cooked it with chicken and peppers over rice and it made for the perfect meal. I would purchase again!
I'm usually not a big fan of ready-made sauces, but this Simply Asia® Sichuan Sweet & Sour one really surprised me! It has such a nice, balanced flavor — not too sweet, not too spicy — just right. I used it with chicken and some vegetables I had in the fridge, and dinner turned out delicious. My husband even said it tasted like something from a restaurant! It makes cooking so much easier, especially on busy days. I'll definitely keep a few packets in my pantry and recommend it to my fruends.
This was absolutely delicious!! You can actually taste the citrus flavors, pineapple and orange in this sauce mix!! For the meat, you can use chicken, shrimp, tofu, or pork. I went ahead and used chicken for the meat for me meal and I decided I was going to add green peppers, red peppers, yellow peppers, and orange peppers, as well as a diced up carrot and onion to the recipe!! And it was fabulous!! So delicious. This one is definitely going on my grocery list!!
I made this with broccoli, carrots, baby corn, napa cabbage, mushrooms, peppers and onions for a delicious stir fry. Added can of pineapple and served over white rice. It made a delicious sauce for a filling meal. Just wish there was a little more sauce in the packet. I like a saucier stir fry to soak into the rice.
Thank you Simply Asia for the free Sichuan Sweet and Sour Stir Fry Sauce! I got to try this product for free through Buzz Agent. The sauce was easy to use, just make veggies and a protein and add the sauce. The sauce is a spicy take on sweet and sour. It's not too spicy so you can't enjoy the flavors, but it definitely left my tongue burning. My kids didn't like it, it was too spicy, but my husband and I enjoyed it. We don't do a lot of spicy meals, so take that info how you will. All in all, if you enjoy spicy Asian food, give this a try.
Usually, I make my own stir-fry sauces, but that isn't always an option on busy weeknights. After choosing the combination, measuring, and mixing, the sauce creation has taken nearly as long as the cooking itself. Simply Asia Sichuan Sweet & Sour Stir-Fry Sauce made a weeknight stir fry so fast. My veggies were prepped, I had leftover rice, and my meals was ready and tasty in fewer than 20 minutes. The only thing I would have done differently is to put pineapple in my dish as suggested on the packaging, but there is always next time.
When I received the packet, I was skeptical about the sauce because it came in liquid form, which made me wonder what preservatives were added to keep it room temp. I used it on a chicken stir-fry and the taste is pretty good. It's not something I would use over more fresher ingredients, but if I was in a pinch to make something, I would go to this
The sauce has a nice sweet and sour balance with a light Sichuan kick, but it's not as bold or rich as I expected. It works fine for a quick meal, but the flavor feels a bit flat compared to takeout or homemade stir fry sauces. It's convenient and easy to use, just not something I'd go out of my way to buy again.
Not bad. Received wrong flavor. Made best out of flavor I did Received. I was suppose to get a spicy garlic or something similar as I am not a sweet and sour type of person. Mix was a sauce in a packet, not a powder. Easy to use. Quick to make. I made a Ramen noodle beef and veggie mix with my packet. Concept great, again just got wrong flavor.
I received a wrong flavor garlic spice sauce instead of sweet and sour sauce in the mail. Oh, my gosh, I bought some shrimps and noodles for sweet and sour sauce. But good thing I had something else to use what I had in my kitchen. I used 2 teaspoons garlic spice sauce instead of the whole package because we could not eat any hot spicy foods. I boiled wheat ramen noodles, add cooked broccoli and that garlic spice sauce. Still little hot spicy. Really, I could not comment on sweet and sour sauce because they sent me the wrong flavor sauce, garlic spice instead of sweet and sour sauce. I was looking forward to try sweet and sour sauce. I was disappointed.
