(4 pack) unMEAT Luncheon Meat-Style, 11.6oz Can

This was a great sub for spam without all the salt. I fried it in vegan butter until crisp and made a great tasting sandwich with mayo, mustard and sweet pickle relish just like my spam loving husband likes and he fully approved! Said it tasted really good and that's high praise from him. I liked the taste and it sliced up very well without falling apart. I made the slices pretty thick. I sure had trouble opening the can. Finally used my can opener to perforate the top because I could only pull it back so far and it stuck.

Spam was a huge sacrifice for me going meatless, but this tastes EXACTLY the same. My family didn't even know it was vegetarian. I cooked it in a pan with some soy sauce and put it over rice. One of those meatless options that taste so similar you double check the packaging.

The taste we never expected! My husband’s first words that came out of his mouth is we never go back on Spam again. Even ate a small portion of it straight out of a can just to try what it taste like and it blew us away. Not SALTY which is a huge plus! I tossed Unmeat on my Kimchi fried rice as my Spam substitute.

This is surprisingly good. It doesn't look like the photos online though-it almost looks like there are pinto beans in it when it's sliced. But it doesn't taste like beans. It reminds me of turkey bacon after I fried it. It's good just plain as a snack %26 I put some in ramen that I sliced a bit thicker. The best part is it's not too full of sodium. Quite tasty, so I recommend it!

Great price for great tasting plant based meat. For dinner I made “spam” musubi with this. It was enough to make two meals with it. The leftover UnMeat I used for breakfast the next day and I made plant based scrambled egg and then tossed the remaining UnMeat, like if it were sausage. Has a good sausage meaty flavor. Glad I discovered this brand.

Purchased this several times w Walmart $1 discount and really enjoy it - super breakfast addition and also great addition for other meals cubed in lo mein instead of pork etc - now a bit more expensive but w 0 cholesterol and 2g carbs - a healthy choice

As a vegetarian living with a meat-eater and picky toddler, mealtimes can be a nightmare. I'm always looking for new non-meat items to try that are easy on the budget and to cook and store. I haven't tried the Unmeat brand before but this seemed different and shipped free (with the rest of my order). Shipping was fast and secure. Packaging easy to open. I wasn't sure the best way to serve it but was inspired by the picture on the packaging to fry it (I used chili-infused oil) as a side to rice and a tomato/egg/garlic fry I do. It was so easy to cook and turned out great with just the chili oil! My toddler refused it :rolling_eyes: but my meat-eater tried it and finished his plate! I'll call this a win and will look for more products from this brand.

Having been vegetarian for years, I never thought I'd eat spam again. But this plant-based version is making my spam dreams come true. It does look a bit odd just in the can, but as soon as you cook it, it starts sizzling and smelling delicious, and I personally love the finished texture and taste. My favorite way to eat it is in fried rice - I cut the UnMeat into cubes, fry that up, then toss it together with rice, whatever veggies, and eggs. It's also super yummy as fries (baked or lightly fried on the stovetop). It's hard to describe if you've never had spam, but if you have, I think this is a great substitute and so easy to cook with.

omg! i used this to make hawaiian spam musubi and it was awesome! this taste almost real. uphou guys better keep selling it

1/3 of the cans were really severely dented and since my husband almost died from botulism from dented can we won’t be eating them. Which is a shame. How do I get a refund for these 2 items? The only option was a review.
