The inner hole has a ledge around it I assume for easier climbing but it makes it smaller and unfortunately our chunky cat can't fit through it. He is also too big to fit on the top shelf. I guess when I looked at the measurements I should've measured the cat! He does love it though!!!

Cat Tree
I think overall the cat tunnel is a good value. What I don't like is that the top level only sits on the tree without an anchor of sorts. It just slides onto the top. So far my cat has not taken advantage of the tree, but I think she soon will as she gets used to it being in the house.

5 month old kitten took to it immediately. Very solid construction. Difficult/awkward to put together.

Almost Perfect
The top lounge area leaned to the outside and was unsafe the way it was received. I was able to add some nails to keep it upright.

Not that good
It's ok, but I'm not happy with how wobbly it is. The highest platform is situated off center from the base so that makes it a bit off balance when he lays up there. Also, the platform on top is small, my cat is 12lbs and he overflows it. This product would be better suited for a kitten play room than adult cats.

So so construction
Great concept, however, the second tier from the top (leading into the top part of the tunnel) was broken right out of the box. Only half the staples have caught

Too small for most kittens and cats.
I returned this item because when I opened it I found out it was even too small for my 4 month old kitten.
