40lb Coated Dumbbell, Pair

I purchased two 40lb CAP Barbell Rubber-Coated Hex Dumbbells for $63.49. They were shipped for no additional costs and arrived in a timely manner. When i opened the boxes the dumbbells were wrapped in paper and in perfect condition. The normal price for these at local sporting goods stores is around $1.00 per lb or more, so the price of these from Walmart was much better than the pricing from the competition stores. I could not be happier with the products i purchased and when it's time for me to add 50lb, i know where i will get them from!

The price point is outstanding! Great quality product! Good delivery system too! I have several pairs of CAP dumbbells up to 35 pounders. I know the quality is A1. When I observed the 40 lb pair that was available for the amount that you advertised... I couldn't resist! Good job!

These are good pieces of equipment. It came packaged well. The only problem is the smell from the rubber coating, which is awful, but tolerable during the workout. That's they're "good" instead of "great" and why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. If anyone knows how to relieve the rubber smell from these dumbells it would be much appreciated! I'm going to try to douse them with Axe spray next and see if that holds.

So far a decent quality item. For those complaining about the 'smell', I'm not sure what the issue is. They are rubber, and they smell like rubber. No foul odor, and they smell like they do at the gym. Make sure to clean off the packing oil after you get these before use. Some had lots of oil, but came off fairly easy with dish soap and a rag.

A pair of 40lbs were just delivered. Dumbbells look and feel good, but I was a bit disappointed to find out that they weigh 39lbs each. I have a pair of 30lbs from a different brand that weight exactly 30lbs. Not a huge deal in terms of the actual impact of the weights on my muscles, of course, but psychologically, I don't feel good lifting 39lbs when they are supposed to be 40. Haha.

It seems like every time they have a sale on these they send you some factory seconds. This go around I got some 40's and 50's and wow they are beat up and terrible. The box came in great shape so it wasn't done in shipping. If you pay them full price you get a beautiful dumbell. Every few months they go on sale to sell you their trash. They literally have rubber falling off them and chunks missing. If it wasnt such a pain in the butt to return I would take them back.

ive ordered a couple sets of these dumbells, they are great for the price i highly suggest them to anyone. but where the problem comes is the shipping. they put them in 2 boxes. and every time id get one box on the scheduled day and It will take a week for the second to arrive becaise it got tore open in ahipping. just pick them up in store.

1 dumbbell was 41lb and one was 38lb. I would appreciate a dumbbell pair to weigh roughly the same but there’s a 3 POUND DIFFERENCE between the two!!!

Do not buy on sale. I bought two 40lbs dumbbells and they have the worst musty, moldy, dirty smell to them. Even after having them unboxed for a week, they still stink. My basement now smells like moldy cigarettes. They are filthy on top of it. I’m returning for a refund and buying something else. I guess I get what I pay for.

I was excited about this product and seemed like a great deal. I bought the 5, 8, 10, 15, 25, 40, 50lbs pairs. When they arrived I opened the boxes and placed them in my detached garage to let them off-gas. For the next several days every time I went into the garage I felt ill from the stench. And mind you, I am not sensitive to chemicals or smells. I work with chemicals and rubber all the time when working on cars or using polyurethane when working on wood projects or countless other chemical related tasks. There was no way I would bring these into the house. I loaded them in my car took them to a local Walmart for return. As always, the return process was easy and flawless. I ended up ordering (also at Walmart) the chrome dumbells. There was no stench and I was able to bring them into the house right away.
