Honestly, love this popcorn machine! I was scared it would be cheaply made or something would be wrong with it due to the price being so low but it's honestly such a great purchase! No regrets at all! There is a little slot for the butter to be placed on top to distribute it along the popcorn, but honestly when we put it on there, it didn't evenly distribute the butter, we weren't sure if we just didn't use enough butter or what but so we just squirted it on the popcorn after it was done popping! Also, it's clear so you can watch the popcorn pop which my kids absolutely loved! Also, the clear bowl once you are finished, popping the popcorn, you can turn upside down and use as a bowl to eat it out of as well. All in all an amazing purchase, and a great popcorn machine!
My mom had one of these when I was middle school. It added up to an awesome sleepover snack for watching movies! I love the taste of popcorn made in this appliance. No more microwave popcorn for me!
I love making homemade popcorn and this one is amazing! I love that all I gotta do is flip it over and boom there's my bowl. The other one I had popcorn would go all over, my dog loved it but I didn't. It only takes a couple minutes to warm up and a whole bowl is done in 5 minutes.
Overall, it's great. Only 2 to 3 kernels left unpopped, nothing burnt. I do wish cleanup was easier - it would be nice if the nonstick plate was removable and there was a separate butter melting well. The butter lid can be hard to remove but I circumvent that with a piece of foil. Not only does it ease removal but it helps keep it from leaking.
I love that I can control what type of oil goes into making my popcorn. I use Grape-seed oil because it has a higher-heat cooking for this cooking device and still makes it healthy. This product is awesome and I have ordered it for my family members that love popcorn.
This is the best popcorn popper I've found. My grandson loves it. We enjoyed watching the kernels pop. It takes a couple of minutes to start popping but the end result is great! Bonus is it also is your popcorn bowl!!! Definitely would recommend this!!!
loved how fun it was to watch. it took a little time to heat up and pop unlike the air fryer popper. but the wait was worth it because it was crispy unlike the styrofoam feel that the air popper puts out. it was a little crazy how you have to flip the bowl and then remove the very hot pan part of the popper. For speed and no burns stick with the air popper. For great crunch popcorn this machine is great. i have both and both has advantages and disadvantages
Love this popcorn maker. Easy clean up, and the lid cover doubles as a bowl for eating. The ability to melt butter onto the popcorn from the steam heat is a nice, tasty touch. I found that the arm bars that circulate the popcorn kernels often pushes the kernels to the outside which can lead to scorching of the kernels--easily fixed by picking up the unit and shaking (while holding the lid down by the handles of course) to redistribute them easily fixes that issue. Add a little sprinkle of fine popcorn salt, and you have a delicious snack without the unhealthy additives and preservatives found in microwave popcorn.
Don't waste your money. It cooks it evenly enough. But it isn't incredibly messy. Just the idea of having to turn over the entire unit to remove the popcorn will cost you problems. And the removable plastic top where you add the oil will definitely be a problem I can definitely see you getting to put that on and having oil go everywhere. You have to take it off when you cook the popcorn and you have to remember to put it back on before you flip the unit upside down. The design doesn't make sense. Buy Whirley pop with what you know works. I never thought you could screw up popcorn but congratulations they did with this one..
The bowl is flimsy, poorly made. Bowl cracked without being misused or dropped. You will probably be disappointed if you purchase this product.
