Good quality rubber coating. I've been using these several times per week for months and they're really durable. The grip is comfortable and the weight is accurate.
Dumbbells can be expensive, especially when you want to buy heavier weights. I have managed to buy dumbbells from Walmart before and the quality is exceptional. I've been using your brand for at least 2.5 years and they still are in great condition. The fact that the 45 pounds dumbbells were on sale is icing on the cake. You can't get better prices and quality for dumbbells at other retailers, even Amazon. That's why this review is a 5/5 ⭐️
To begin, Walmart makes great dumbbells because of their durability. This purchase was even better because I got half off, so thank you guys!
I was wanting to buy professional quality dumbbells but didn't want to pay $3-4 per pound. I found these and they were the best prices around even better than flebay. One thing to not is that I did weight each one when I got it home and all were within a pound only the standard weight except the 25. I went back and purchased another one and matched the set and then returned the extra. My 25 pound set is actually 23.8 but they both are the same. The one I returned was 25. All the sets are not matched. I had to order one set and it can in a cardboard box that was destroyed. The item was not damaged. If you buy in the store make sure the handle design matches. They have two different styles.
weights are exactly what they are. weights. the rubber has a very strong odor. its the rubber off gassing. recommendation: wipe down with cleaner to get oily coat off (i used Lysol wipes), then left it in the sun for a few days until the smell greatly reduced.
Nice pair anything above 15lbs. Are bulky you'll have to make slight adjustments for some strength exercises but you can push to failure and release weights without fear of damage to properly padded floors, I love mines(25,30,35,40,and 45's),,just ordered a set of 50's.
My dumbbells may be an exception, but the finish on these was a little rough, and one dumbbell was 1.5 pounds lighter than the other. This may be within the acceptable range, but my other dumbbells seem to be much right on the number.
First time buying 45-lb dumbbells from Walmart (and CAP). The packaging arrived decimated (the shipping label was so thrashed they had to hold it for a few extra hours to figure out the correct address—arrived wrapped in tape), they were greasy, they smelled very strongly of rubber (still do, but it's slowly improving), and they mark many different surfaces with a black smear. I've washed them with soap and water, next I will try soaking them with vinegar. I wouldn't recommend these dumbbells to anyone unless I knew for certain they had a dedicated area for their weights away from the rest of their house. Frankly, I'm surprised these are so highly-rated. I would've expected SOME people to be put-off by the many undesirable factors that you won't find in more-expensive dumbbell brands. Still, they were priced competitively, so I am satisfied.
The package and the dumbbells looked used and damaged...not handled with any care and this has been a disappointed experience.
This is a good price, but everything else went wrong. Ordered two sets of dumbells 45 and 50 lbs. Only received 45s so far and one has a chunk of rubber missing--is damaged. I have sent several messages to seller with no response. Also, on the Wal-Mart website, it shows I received the 50 lbs and am still waiting on 45s--this is backward.
