48 Mantel Shelf with Optional Corbels Veneer

I've been looking for a product exactly like this everywhere, but they were either hard to find, or ridiculously over priced. This was a nice compromise, plus I got to use a gift card.

the color is really nice, the mantel was really heavy, would have worked had I ordered a longer one. have to return because of size.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have decided to use this as one large shelf rather than as a mantel board above my fireplace. I needed a place for pictures and home decor items and this shelf works great for that. I have a large open wall area in my stair way and that is where I decided to put this. It does come with optional decorative pieces which go up under the shelf to give it a more elegant look. So it's actually a three piece shelf. I decided not to use those two pieces. I think if you use this as a mantel shelf then you would want to use those two pieces. But since Im doing just a picture shelf I think it looks better with just using the shelf. I can always add the other two pieces later to change it up for a different look. Seems to be well made and the finish on it looks great as well!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok so when I first saw "48 inch shelf" It didn't really click . This shelf is awesome but its HUGE. Its beautiful and very well made. But its most definitely a 2-3 person project to hang. Im only 5ft tall so it was physically impossible for me to hang by myself. It took 3 people to get it up. With that being said thats the only reason it got 4 stars.

There are stains on this product when I opened the box and it can't be removed. Had to return it, took me a lot of effort to put it back in the box

It is sooo heavy- too heavy that I am actually afraid to put it up on my walls, for fear of it crashing down. The description said it was brown, but it has a gold cast to it. Its not ugly, just not my style.
