5 gal Cabot Stains 1806 Neutral Base Solid Color Deck Water-Based Decking Stain

Long lasting paint and stain, we have been using this product for years and there is minimal peeling on the deck chairrails, railings, and floor. We live in Wisconsin where the climate can reach 40 degrees Fahrenheit below zero, or 90+ degrees. The main traffic areas are a bit rough.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this stain solid for a project and the next project. I thought I would try a different brand of stain And that was a mistake should have stuck with Cabot solid stain for the best results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried other stains. A builder told me about Cabot. I have never used anything else for any of my building projects decks, etc. that I've had and built.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just stained my cedar sided house and chose gray, just hoping that it would cover over the darker cedar color that I had been putting on it that last 10 years and to my joy it covered perfectly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this 1 year ago and love it. It has held up beautifully. We tried it for the trim edging of the deck. Since it held up so well, we're doing the whole deck.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am on my fourth year purchasing this item. It remains well protected throughout the year. The wood looks new! My patio is beautiful with cordovan brown floor and vary white spindles.

We had been using other products before today. Let me tell you, this is THE BEST product we've ever used! We are paint and stain snobs. We only buy the very best because it's worth it. I took a chance after having inferior staining projects. We can't BELIEVE how nice this is. Color is perfect, coverage is perfect in one coat, it's nice and thick with no dripping, it's drying just as beautifully as it went on. We will never use another product! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Extremely disappointed in this product. We spent a lot of time cleaning and prepping our deck per the instructions, then painted the stain. It took several hours across a few days to paint. Less than three months later, the stain is peeling up in random spots, including areas that have only been touched by rain.

Used on our deck about 3 years ago I was hesitant to use initially, and for good reason it peeled. We have just stripped sanded and brightened our large deck floor, but I used on our steps and rails too. Not sure what we will do with those yet not as easy to strip and sand. Also used on Adirondack chairs and table. We are so disappointed!

Very Disappointed by Cabot's Solid Color Acrylic Stain and Sealer. Purchased 4 cans in two colors: Gray for the deck floor and White for the deck railing. The gray has held up HOWEVER the white color stain has been a mess. Check out several photos of our deck railing. We scrubbed and sanded our deck boards and rails, prepped and painted them last year. Since then the white paint has cracked and chipped off in several places. Purchased Cabot paint and applicator tools to make sure we applied it properly. Feel like there should be a refund for the white color stain cans because it does hold up as promised. Very disappointed. Do not waste your time or money on Cabot products! I won't ever again.
