A true and honest sugar. Most are either bleached or cut with animal bones. This is pure cane sugar and is top quality. I can't find it in the large city I live in, they sell the low quality kind. I am counting on Walmart as I do with Amazon more and more to find the products I need. If you want the best quality bake goods try C%26H Premium Pure Cane Granulated Sugar. I am so happy I found this on Walmart. It even comes in a handy tub to store the sugar.
I love C%26H but not the price. When I was a working stiff this is the only sugar I bought. It has a pure flavor and sweetness and even the consistency of the fine crunchy grain is perfect. It dissolves, well, it tastes great. However, ever since Covid, I am on a tight budget and tend to buy the generic sugar (beet sugar) for cost effectiveness. However, when Walmart is out of their sugar, I always substitute with C*H and the quality is night and day.
I'm a senior on a fixed income so I have to watch my budget, but I found that as far as sugar goes I spend a little bit more to have a better quality product. C%26H sugar doesn't fly around my kitchen and get all over my counters for just getting a teaspoon, I don't know what other brands are doing. That makes their sugar do that, but I got really tired of cleaning up my counters every time I got a teaspoon of sugar out with this powdery substance that other brands seem to have. I'm very happy with this sugar.
My ONLY COMPLAINT about this sugar is the fact that we used to get 5 pounds in the same size bag of sugar now it's 4 but for more money, I do realize that this is more of an economy problem but I still had to mention that
I would recommend that you check the sugar for huge lumps because that is what I received this time to my utter disbelief. I was wondering what caused the sugar to be stuck in very chunks that I had to grind into usable cups. Next time I will order the tub for a couple of $ more. In hopes of finding granulated sugar.
For the most part, I don't have any trouble with C%26H sugar every once in a while it gets a little clumpy the bag I received with my order was hard as a rock and all through. It was small clumps that I could break up, but there were two the size of hardball
The C and H sugar is a 5 star but not the price. I ordered the 10 lbs because it was discounted for $10. You substituted that for 3 - 4lbs sugars at a cost of $4.44
Bag arrived punctured. That isn't my problem. When I opened the bag, the top half is hard as a rock! I can't break it up! I want a refund. Or replacement.
My bag of sugar was busted at the bottom. My other groceries has sugar on them
I ordered via walmart delivery. The driver put my groceries in his trunk. Somewhere between store and my house, the plastic bag got punctured and thus punctured the sugar package. Ive got a trail of sugar now to clean up. The paper used to package the sugar is thin and easily torn which is why I gave it the low rating. Should have bought the boxed version as it would also be easier to pour and fill sugar bowls.
