It's very easy to use. All four sides are numbered so no matter what you're gonna figure out how to use this and it works great you don't have to put on any lotions. You don't have to put on any nail coloring or clear coloring. All you gotta do is brush it back-and-forth crush your nails do it on all four sides for each nail you're done.

as described 👍

don't know why some ppl have neg comments about this when imo it's what you see in pic and works as described. can't beat the price either. is it a high end coarse emery board? no, it's fine, with buffing sides and light weight enough for carrying anywhere you need to.

4 sided nail buffer is good for young hands.

Colleen February 26, 2026

I like that each side of this file tells you where to use it. I don't think it is enough on my nail ridges. It may be more suitable for a young person. It is easy to hold and use. I just wish it worked better on my 70 yr old nails,

Nail buffer

BARBARA January 18, 2026

I needed a good nail buffer. This one was my best choice. The nail buffer has four sides. 1 to File the edges, 2 removed ridges around the nail. 3 to smooth the nails and 4 to shine Everything you need in one

Does the job, great value. There are probably better quality ones but its nice to buy a few and keep them all the places you might need to grab one in a hurry to file your nails or a quick self-care moment when you sit down.

Does NOT Meet Expectations.

TwoFarmDogs February 11, 2026

This is supposed to be a 4 in 1 buffer, but they are all too smooth, so you still need another coarser file for shaping. This product is really only good if you already got the job done with another product. Next time, I would skip it and buy something more effective.

Not even close to what I wanted

Diana May 10, 2025

I originally ordered a pumice stone and this is not even remotely close to that. I did have the opportunity to choose my preferred substitutions before I placed my order, but I would've never guessed that it will be replaced with a nail buffer…. I feel like it was too cheap to return, so I didn't request a refund. I hope this doesn't happen again Walmart because next time I will be calling.

Doesn't work

Ann April 3, 2025

Waste of money. The grit on these are softer than a newborn baby's bottom. They are so smooth literally nothing rubs off when using these there is no difference. They have 4 sides and they are all various degrees of softness. I bought two of them to help finish file my at home builder gel manicures and boy was I disappointed (if you know builder gel you know it's literally the softest product to work with). Don't waste your money if you do acrylics, gels, builder gel, dip powder, etc. I don't even think they will work on natural nails that's how soft they are. They can't help with even the softest product. Cheap for a reason, not worth it.

Buff-Bust! Missed the mark %26 my nails completely

MaHurl April 12, 2025

Equate Large 4-Way Nail Buffer: A Buff-Bust I'm usually a big fan of Walmart's Equate line. More often than not, they deliver comparable quality to name-brand products at a fraction of the price. Sadly, the Equate Large 4-Way Nail Buffer is a glaring exception. This product completely missed the mark and left me deeply disappointed. From the get-go, the buffer felt flimsy. While 'large' in size, it lacked the necessary grit and substance to effectively smooth or shine my nails. Each 'step' of the 4-way process felt virtually identical, offering little to no discernible difference in the texture or appearance of my nails. The 'file' felt too soft to effectively shape the nail edges. The 'smooth' side barely did anything to buff away ridges, leaving my nail surface stubbornly uneven. The 'polish' side was equally ineffective; instead of a healthy shine, I was left with a dull, almost scratched appearance. As for the 'shine' side, it was just a complete waste of time. I tried using the buffer on both bare nails and nails with a base coat, but the results were consistently subpar. It felt like I was just rubbing my nails with a slightly abrasive sponge. Ultimately, the Equate Large 4-Way Nail Buffer proved to be a complete waste of money. It failed to deliver on its promises and left my nails looking worse than before. Stick with a tried and true brand for your nail care needs, because this Equate product simply isn't worth the savings. I'd advise skipping this one altogether.
