Review is for: Great Value Hot Dog Chili Sauce, What is good for you, what is good for me may be different. Add what you want. from more spices to ground beef , or jalepenos or hot sauce. Stir it all together and cook in this basic sauce and it is your creation. Enjoy. It provides a good start to any coney or chili hot dog sauce. It makes a tasty creation to add to your favorite tube steaks.
Hey, who doesn't love hot dogs. I usually use another brand similar to this and add what I want to it and enjoy it on my hotdogs, burgers and even fries. Store didn't have my brand so I grabbed these instead. I am really glad I did, because it taste great and has the same texture as the brand I use and it's cheaper in price. I add a little hamburger meat, chopped onions and some peppers (usually bell, unless I want more spice) and enjoy it on what ever I am eating. We had some Fritos corn chips in the cabinet so we added some the chili to them and shredded cheese, man was they good. Fries is next on the list to add it to. For me it's a great value for the same style I am used to paying more for that taste just as great and maybe even a little thicker, which is awesome also and at a better price.
Not really a fan of canned hot dog sauce. I saw this on line and decided to give it a try. I couldn't believe how good it was. I've already ordered two more cans. It truly pays to try something new sometimes...... as long as it's not brussel sprouts! 😄
Chili sauce texture that works perfectly on hot dogs without making a huge mess, and the flavor is savory, slightly smoky, and just a little bit sweet. It instantly gives plain hot dogs that ballpark-style taste without needing to make homemade chili from scratch. What I like most is how convenient it is. You can heat it up in minutes and turn a basic pack of hot dogs into something that actually feels fun and satisfying. It's also good on fries, chili dogs, or even mixed into burgers for extra flavor. Pros: Classic chili dog flavor that tastes great on hot dogs and fries Quick and easy to heat up for fast meals or cookouts Affordable option compared to making homemade chili sauce Cons: Texture is smoother and less chunky than homemade chili Can taste a little salty if you use a lot Small can may not stretch far for bigger family meals or parties Summary: Overall, this is a solid pantry item to keep around if you enjoy easy comfort food and quick cookout meals. It's simple, flavorful, and makes regular hot dogs taste way more satisfying with almost no effort. While it won't fully replace homemade chili for everyone, it definitely delivers that nostalgic chili dog flavor at a really affordable price.
I use this for my chili cheese dogs it has a lot of flavor a lot of spices in the seasonings when I first got it I wasn't sure how I would like it because it says hot on it it's not extremely hot but it does have quite the punch if you like something with a little kick I would recommend this if you're not big on spice I would not purchase this it's a great discounted price to top it off
Yes, I have purchased the higher priced, name brand hot dog chili sauce, but I only purchase this brand after all those expensive ones. I love the taste, value, and it isn't too spicy. It truly has a great flavor and one can is enough for 8 chili cheese hotdogs in our house.
A good value for the money. Can is packed with chili sauce. It's thick and you can add a bit of water to stir in. It can be mixed with cheese to make a chili cheese sauce for Doritos, chips, or crackers. I have eaten chili/melted cheese with popcorn as well. Definitely good if making chili beans or a dip.
Extremely disappointed. The can was dented so badly! The can looked bent in half! I'm surprised the shopper even put it in my order! I've had other products dented or corners smashed. This time I had to say something. This product was cheap but we were looking forward to trying it.
This is not close to what I ordered. I wanted a CAN of CHILI not HOT DOG SAUCE the workers at store 1234 do not take pride in their jobs they are always removing items that ARE IN STORE or replacing with whatever's fastest for them to find. What is the point in paying extra for doing the store pick up if I still have to go back in the store to get the item I wanted or an acceptable replacement?!? Ridiculous. -5 for the Monticello team!
This chili is so gross and you can tell has a lot of tomato paste or something tomatoey in it, and I hate that I bought 3 cans because I won't even open 2 of them. Luckily for me they were super cheap but omgosh, you would expect them to be good because it's a great value brand but nope, it's terrible!! Now I know better than to buy any chili but Wolf brand chili from now on because I was really wanting chili dogs so bad and this ruined that for me!! Very disappointed!! Yuck!!
