Great Value Rice (%26 Corn) Chex cereals are As yummy, crispy, %26 functional as any name-brand on the shelf…just a different recipe. In a bowl of milk, or, in ‘Texas Trash', I've used them for Years,,,with NO disappointments!! Yes, I Recommend them!
I use these crisp rice cereals to make either Muddy Buddies or Toffee Crunch. They are so delicious this way. Always at Christmas time, but occasionally I make throughout the year. They are very crispy and stay very crunchy even after pouring hot toffee caramel over them, then baking in oven. Great product.
If you ever have or know someone with a wheat allergy it's good to know there are wheat free alternatives like this on the shelves. It's a perfect breakfast serial, great for kids, eaten dry out of the box it's crunchy, soaked in Rice Milk for a bit it gets the perfect texture of softness without becoming completely soggy.
We have had cereal most mornings for quite a while, but we're tiring of wheat, oat and corn-based cereals. The Rice Squares have been a welcome change. They are light, especially fresh and crunchy and just delicious. They are quieter than Rice Crispies and more satisfying. Oh, and they are fortified with the vitamins we all need. I strongly recommend Great Value Rice Squares for a healthful, delicious and easy-to-digest breakfast.
The Great Value Rice Squares are definitely a great value. Lately, I have seen some of the name brand cereals that were more than double the price of the Great Value cereals. I eat the cereal for breakfast, and I also eat it sometimes as a snack with peanut butter or nondairy yogurt. I like this cereal better than the name brand Rice Squares because the pieces are bigger. The texture of the pieces is crunchier than the name brand product which means that they will maintain their shape and size longer when you add milk or a topping. I like the taste of the Great Value cereal better too because it's a slightly bolder flavor without being too overpowering.
I was pricing the name brands I normally buy and thought why not try Great Value cereals. One in particular that I used to buy was almost 5.00 for a box that wouldn't last a week in my house. I had to give up the wheat side of that cereal but these rice squares are good. I like to put honey in with them instead of sugar. I think if we all start skipping the high priced cereals it will send a message to those companies.
For years, my mother has remained a steadfast customer of Great Value Rice Squares, always appreciating the budget-friendly price tag in comparison to the higher-priced, more advertised brands on the market. However, the appeal extends far beyond just the affordability; we've consistently been impressed with the cereal's enduring quality. It delivers an enjoyable crunch and a truly satisfying taste that keeps us coming back. Additionally, the 12-ounce package size is ideal for our family – it offers a generous quantity without being excessively large, making it a practical and convenient choice for our daily breakfasts.
I have been using this product for some time now. While I do not eat it as cereal, I do use it in a recipe of "Chex Mix," but use it rather than the Kellog's brand. It is just as good as the more expensive brand.
I like that just like Rice Cheks, there's a good crunch and has only 3 grams of sugar. The taste is a little plain but you can add fruit or cinnamon or chocolate chips, etc.
This gluten free cereal is great for making both sweet and savory snacks not to mention eating with fruit, milk, and nuts for breakfast. I keep at least one box on hand.
