I've been suffering with my Plantar Fasciitis for a while, and I needed some ice.. I was hoping this would work, but while waiting for it to arrive, I read the Reviews and was disappointed. Well, I'm glad you was disappointed at the wrong thing! I wasn't quite sure that I was doing it right, but next thing I know, I felt a cold spot, so I kept on; eventually, the whole thing got cold! I had it on the bottom of my right foot (since that was the only one giving me problems, lately) while I was watching a movie ("JUNKYARD DOG" — if that helps — it's based on a True Story) and the pain is gone! I had already ordered a 24 pack of different ones that's supposed to come tomorrow.. I'm hoping they work just as good! I definitely recommend these no matter if you're away from home or at home.
Keeping these as a handy backup for the most important things in my fridge when the power goes out, or even in the bottom of my car cup holder if Im going someplace %26 going to be long... just a few alternative uses to the typical outing, picnic, etc
I used these to place into a hand made moisture wicking t-shirt for my autistic grandson to prevent overheating. They were the perfect option to keep him cool and dispose of after use so nothing remains in the shirt for washing.
I I've never used these. So why am I reviewing them. My 94-year-old mother has me ordering for her and she likes them. I get plenty from the VA being a disabled vet so I use theirs. But you know how it is mama wants what mama wants gotta take care of the ladies. Right guys that's what we were here for so she says she says she likes them so I'll pass it on.
Colder than the equate brand, and lasts a little longer by four minutes. Locating the activator in these are a hassle, though, hoping you also haven't squashed the air out enough to cause a silicia or urea-water explosion.. Once you find the activator and crushed it, crushing all those other little beady particles in there can be a tedious effort if you need to. Shaking it around is a hassle because of the material it's in, whereas I have found equate to do better with this since it's a thicker paper material, and less likely to explode if you made a mistake while trying to activate it, and while shaking it around, it is strong enough to move around and stay in place almost firmly. Locating the activator in the equate brand is much easier. They both lose their cool quickly. In fact, twice, this brand was picked up from the store already activated, wasting it's immediate affect.. The immediate affect of both brands help ease the pain for a limited time.
The pack does get nice and cold, but in breaking the inner pod to activate the cold, the outer pack split at the seam, rendering it unusable.
Packaging. Nothing about the ice bag is protected from being accidently activated every time you pick it up. By the time they make it to the store shelf, it's already been tossed around too much. Unloading my groceries and I can feel all of them are activated.
The ice packs were ordered because I needed them as soon as possible. They were delivered 24 hours later. I could not drive so I decided to order from Walmart, I don't believe I would order again for delivery
I did as the package instructions said but the product didn't activate or activated but was so weak it did nothing for my injured foot. Not worth it!
Waste of money if you ask me. 1. it stayed cool for about 15 min? 2. The pack kept falling off my leg. pretty funny actually. i had to Jimmy Rig it. Good thing it was cheap.
