Love making green chili with it
Nice to add a little spice to anything you cook
Perfect flavor, texture and heat!
I used these in chili. That are delicious, flavorful and bring some heat. They were the perfect addition to the chili!
These are fantastic to use for anything green chile!! Great flavor and lasts for several different dishes.
My husband is a New Mexico native and there is nothing that compares the the genuine New Mexico Green chile where we now live. This is how he gets his 'fix' from boyhood days. This chile tends to be a little hot for some but can be used sparingly according to taste.
These are a must-have staple in my kitchen, as my mom grew up in New Mexico, and correctly maintained that they grow the very best chiles. I was thrilled when 505 Southwestern showed up on the scene, and is amazingly available where I live in Middle Tennessee, because I am finally able to duplicate the flavor of some of my mother's best dishes, through the use of these Hatch green chiles. If you like New Mexico style Mexican food, try these, and you can't go wrong. Every product I've tried from 505 Southwestern had been excellent. And Hatch green chiles are hands down the best of all.
There's not a lot I make that doesn't contain NM green chile. Perfect for omelettes, pot pies, soups, etc. I have one wish: they could be a little hotter.
Product is very good, although the container size is a bit large for normal everyday use. The chile is perhaps a bit watery, but it has good flavor. We use it on many different things. Unfortunately the shipping process is broken. We received no less than four alerts that the product would be delivered "today", with the product eventually arriving a week later. Apparently Walmart or the shipper have not yet figured out yet how to compete.
I've had this exact brand and item several times at Walmart and it is has always been awesome. Living right next to Hatch, I know and love my green chile! I bought this one at Sam's Club and noticed the label was slightly different with gold trim around it. I brought it to a family outing and it was super gross. No one liked it! Ruined my whole day! It did not taste like green chile at all, just super sour. My mother thought perhaps the lime machine went beserk! I tried several times to give it another chance and every time I tasted it, I could not believe I put it back into my mouth. Tried adding it to other food, however it made some really good food, taste really bad. I am now worried about ever purchasing this product again, even from Wal-mart. Hopefully it some sort of cheap imitation and some loser is trying to make a buck or two. So very sad, this once upon a time was a really great product.
