This replaces an older Husqvarna Rancher 55- a saw about the same size and engine displacement. I am impressed with the ease of operation and power. It has a priming function, starts easily and with some vibration dampening features is less fatiguing to operate. It has sufficient power for my use- cutting and bucking hardwood for heating. The stock Husqvarna chain cuts well. I am pleased with this purchase. I hope it lasts more than 12 years like my other Husky.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I retired my 562 XP Mark I recently and decided to go with something a little physically smaller and lighter weight and I am glad I did! I do a lot of brush cutting, low stumping, as a little light felling, as well as bucking and limbing blowdowns and hangers on trails in the Maine woods where I typically hike the saw in. I also process a cord or two of firewood each year. I took this out today to deal with some softwoods enhancing a path around my property and was extremely impressed with the smooth power band, low vibrations, modest noise, and maneuverability of the saw. On paper it is a bit lighter than the 562 in reality it feels much lighter by comparison and I was also impressed with fuel efficiency and tank size. I am looking forward to many years of service from this new saw and will update my ranking if she loses any points when I dig into some bigger hardwoods, but if you don't hear back from me than all is well! Lastly I will mention that I was torn between this and the 550XP. Ultimately I decided that 15% more money for a saw that offered 11% more power via tune and nothing more wasn't worth it for me as I am not a commercial user. I think this saw is an excellent value and I am happy to have a pro series and quality saw.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third Husqvarna product. I already own a 450 Rancher chainsaw. Got a 1000 times out of it what I paid for it. Still have it, replaced a clutch, still works fine, but showing it's age. Knew I had to get a replacement eventually. Upgraded to the 545 Mk II and absolutely love this beast. In the middle of using the old and new chainsaws to mill pine tree trunks into posts and rails for a 1400 ft fence. Also have a Husqvarna weedwhacker that I have no idea how it is still working. I put that thing thru 10 years of abuse in one year...every year for the last 10 years. Won't buy anything else but Husqvarna.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In reviewing saws, It was between this and Stihl. I went with the 545 Mark II, and I'm definitely happy. The only thing I wasn't happy about was a registration process. It wouldn't read any of the QR codes, and an ant would have had problems reading the serial number.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The saw that’s very easily cut unbelievably has so much power lightweight streamline easy to operate super chain. I’ve had multiple steel chainsaws in the past. This is my first Husqvarna and I absolutely love it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a lot of clearing on a heavily wooded lot. This chainsaw is easy to start, the perfect weight and balance and low vibration. It's everything I was looking for!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this to replace a 40+ year old Stihl, easy to start and hasn't let me down. Looking forward to years of use.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] NICE PRODUCT RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. I HAVE ONLY USED IT TWICE SO FAR. AVOID WASTING YOUR MONEY ON GENERIC CHAINSAWS. INVEST IN A GOOD NAME AND REPUTATION.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fueled up with Husqvarna premix and followed starting procedures, started right up so easily! In two days I’ve put this thing through some heavy work and it’s been doing great. I’m really impressed by the chain too, I haven’t had to tighten the chain much. It’s literally been fill the bar oil reservoir, top off with gas, and go!
At first the chains were blocked. I barely unblocked them. But the saw works poorly. It is very difficult to start. Perhaps I got a defective Husqvarna.
