5837B Signature Lamp Post- Black no mount

I bought the item to conceal an old iron post which no longer has power, but now uses a solar light fixture. The post was too tall, so even after I cut tout the bottom, it was still 8" off the ground. No problem, I just went back and bought decorative bricks to create a pedestal. Looks fancy.

The price was reasonable and the post was very attractive. Easy to assemble. Quite an improvement over my plain black metal post.

I ordered this lampost in white. It's a blow mold plastic item that comes in one piece but looks very nice close up and from a distance. The mounting pole was a bit short and would not go below our frost line so we purchased white pvc piping and fit the mounting pole into the pvc pipe to mount below frost line. The mounting pole was just the right diameter for my post light which fit right over the pole. This item was perfect for the area I need to light.

We love our new lamppost! The old metal one always had peeling paint and required yearly maintenance of sanding and touch up paint.

Big style cheap. This came without instructions for mounting, and since it was also supplied without mounting hardware or suggestions, I am now faced with figuring out the best way. For some reason I assumed it was a thick, sturdy kind of plastic - but was surprised at how light and thin it is. No matter - I will figure it out. Is it paintable? No idea, because again - no instrux - so we'll see. Hopefully my weedwacker will not destroy it immediately.

Arrived in perfect condition. Looks like it would be easy to install over an existing round lamp post but will need some modifications for my situation. Sales rep told me it would fit tightly over a 4x4 wooden post but it looks like I will need to modify my setup to make everything fit. Looks nice from a distance but kind of cheap plastic looking when up close.

Nice product! It's well designed and ready to install. It adds a classic character to the front lawn area and our neighbors have expressed many compliments.

We installed this today over an existing pole that was cemented in the ground, it went over it perfectly, all necessary hardware to use this over an old pole was included which made installation so easy as we thought we may have to alter to get our light on. In addition, it's beautiful and classic looking.

it is a little cheezy looking. kinda disappointed

It can in a ready opened box. It was all scuffed up and had black spots all over it as if someone had already used it then packed it up
