I needed a power strip with something longer than the 2 or 3 foot cord. This one has an 8 foot cord, which is perfect for my application. And you can't be the price!
great easy to order and received timely
I needed a power strip that had a cable longer than the standard 3 feet or 6 feet. I didn't need a surge protector since this was being plugged into one. Slightly pricey but it's the only model I could find with a long enough cable. Yes the plug sockets might be a little stiff the first time you plug something in, but that's so that the plug stays in and doesn't fall out-- a good safety feature! I bought 2 of these, and yes both have straight plugs and not the angled plug that is shown in the photo. No big deal, I'd rather have the straight plugs!
Worked good and the 8 ft cord helps in getting it to where you can get to the plugs
I purchased this power strip for my daughter's dorm room. I got a call from her a week later saying one of the outlets is defective. The contacts inside the holes were so tight that to use it, you really had to force the plug into it. Needless to say, I exchanged the power strip for another one. The second strip was okay but you could tell that the holes (i.e., the inside contacts) were somewhat rough when inserting plugs into them. For the price, I really can't complain too much. The bottom line is that it works.
This power strip is not what pictured.
The switch does not light up to tell if it's off or on. I had to write with a Sharpie "on" and "off" next to the switch.
I ordered this product specifically because it showed the "wall-hugger" plug and would be great behind a couple of big pieces of furniture at my house that hide the wall plug. When they arrived, these strips did NOT have "wall-hugger" plug so I returned them without trying them out at all.
I read one, maybe two reviews that complained about this power strip arriving with a standard 3-prong wall plug instead of the right angle / flush plug as shown. I thought for a sec then dismissed the notion, chalked it up to a mistake of some kind. Well...mine came today and it too is a standard plug, NOT right angle / flush plug. I have been doing more online shopping this last year and have noticed far too many discrepancies between what is pictured and either what is described or received. It's not just Walmart, to be fair. "HD" website is chock full of item images that do not represent the description. Come on, big box, stores! It's TWENTY SIXTEEN! There's no excuse for website errors or online order errors!
I ordered this because it had a flat plug, it was the ONLY reason I bought it. What I received in the mail was the large bulky sticks out of the plug in like an industrial cord. So mad!
