This is probably the eighth or ninth jar of this that I have bought since I discovered it several years ago. I use it pretty much all the time when chicken broth is called for the taste is fantastic and much deeper in texture than regular store-bought broth. It is a little salty so take care before you salt something yourself All in all this is a staple in my refrigerator that I don’t wanna do without.
Here is my Potato Soup recipe. I measure with my heart, but this product is the secret ingredient. Peel 5-6 potatoes while a pack of bacon is baking in the oven. Boil several cups of water. Cube your potatoes. Optional- a carrot and 1/4 an onion, 1 stalk of celery. 3 or so table spoons of Better than B, and a tsp of Mixed up Salt. (onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper) dash of red pepper flakes. Taste your broth. add more BB if needed. dont add more salt, the bacon will do that for you. When the potatoes are soft and your bacon is ready, transfer to a blender. Add your potatoes first. Slowly add some broth, 1/4 c cheddar cheese,a few strips of bacon, and heavy cream. Blend. It should be pretty thick, add more broth and cream for a thinner soup. Top with cheese and chopped bacon.
This is wonderful seasoning for making gravy, chicken and dumplings or chicken soup. I’ll be using this for sure for Thanksgiving gravy. We have about 25 people for potluck at my apartments and I get the honors of making the mashed potatoes and gravy. Try it you’ll love it too!!
The Better Than Bouillon Premium Roasted Chicken Base, Shelf-Stable broth is my go to concentrated broth that I use. It's handy when you don't have a large container of chicken broth on hand. Each jar makes a plethora amount of chicken broth and is easy to keep on hand since it comes in a small jar and not the large container that takes up too much space in my pantry. The Better Than Bouillon Premium Roasted Chicken Base, Shelf-Stable broth tastes great which just the right amount of salt used in the product and no aftertaste. I will definitely purchase this product again.
I only use Better Than Bouillion products. I no longer use dried cube or dried grains for making broth. Better Than Bouillion has the best flavor and is easy to use. The conversion is easy too; use 1tsp to make 1c of broth. Refrigerate the product after opening. The shelf life is longer than expected, over a year at the least.
This is the 1 st time I’ve used this product. It’s amazing. The taste is spot on and absorbs into ur meat for an even better taste. I bought the beef flavor also. Both products are wonderful and I have another jar of each in my cart so I will always have this on hand. Highly recommend. It’s 100 times better than the cubes. But them u won’t regret it!
I absolutely love Better Than Bouillon! The flavor and ease of use are incomparable! It's almost as good as homemade. I use it to bump up the flavor in so many recipes. And while I still buy boxed or canned chicken broth I use this to help up the flavor. It's a great time saver. And, if someone is sick I use it to make broth for homemade chicken soup. This works well whether I'm adding a teaspoon full to the crock pot or upping the flavor for stuffing. It isn't the salt bomb that traditional bouillon is easier to use. Also, I use the beef and the roasted garlic versions. This brand has been a huge time and flavor saver.
This stuff is straight-up kitchen magic. One tiny spoonful turns boring water into “Did I simmer this all day?” chicken flavor—rich, savory, and way better than those sad cubes from the past. I use it for soups, rice, gravy, veggies… honestly, if it’s edible, this jar is invited. It lasts forever in the fridge, packs a serious flavor punch, and saves me when I want homemade vibes with zero effort. If flavor were a personality trait, this would be the overachiever.
CHICKEN: I love to add just a 1/2 tsp to my mashed potatoes, or 1 tsp to cooked wide noodles with butter. Taste is mild chicken, but use smaller amt if you're on a low salt diet. VEGGIE: I add generous amount to enhance cooked vegetable dishes. Just be sure to taste while cooking because it is salty.
Better than Bouillon is exactly what it says! The ingredients are safe to eat... no msg, no THBQ, and taste is lovely! My chicken noodle soup comes out delicious because of the chicken broth I make from this Bouillon. Give it a try! It's the best tasting and best for you. I do wish the price was a bit lower though
