this flavor profile provides a great balance and texture for your weeknight pasta dinner. It's not too sweet or salty and stores well in the refrigerator or freezer for leftover late night snacks.. The jar fits nicely in my pantry and is always a welcome favorite. If you want it thicker just add a can of Great Value Tomato Paste.

Here's the sauce my wife wants for her spaghetti. We've tried a lot of brands including Bertolli, which we used to like, but the Classico is better! It has a good texture and balance for wonderful spaghetti.

Love the flavor, compared to another brand that also is supposed to be with basil, but this has sweet basil which you can actually taste, lots of flavor

Love this stuff. For us, it has the right balance of flavors for all of our pasta dishes. It's perfectly fine as is. Since I grow basil in the summer and dry it in the fall, I throw some of that in as well as granulated garlic. Sometimes I blend it, add water, and make soup.

It's my new go-to pasta sauce when I don't feel like making sauce from scratch; seasoned just right. It's also good to use for chicken parm, and the jars are reusable!!

Best jar sauce brand hands down. Sweet basil has a great taste, I personally recommend mixing it with the four cheese classico sauce too for a richer flavor

This is my go to pasta sauce. I love the sweetness of the basil, but the tanginess of the tomato sauce itself is excellent. Good quality will always recommend it for pasta dishes.

When I really get cooking, I'll make my own sauce. When I sort of get cooking, I buy a bunch of Barilla sauces (see lamentations on jarring too many ingredients, below), combine them with my own ingredients (usually garlic cloves, fresh basil leaves, and chunks of real Italian sausage). But when I just want something immediate to put on my pasta or whatever, there's no beating this stuff. For context: - If you enjoy Ragu, I suspect it's because you've never tried any other sauce. No offense intended. If that's not the case, I doubt you'll enjoy this: this is spaghetti sauce. Maybe try Campbell's tomato soup. - When I was little, I ate a lot of Prego because it came in huge jars for dirt cheap. It took a few meals with Barilla before I didn't enjoy Prego, anymore. Today, I can't tolerate Prego (and can't imagine willingly eating Ragu). - Barilla strikes me as a slightly simpler sauce. There's less stuff in it, but I'd describe it as more wholesome. I wouldn't use Classico as a base for cooking my own sauce; Classico already has a flavor that's distinctly its own, while Barilla seems like a good starting point for a unique sauce. - If I had to criticize this Classico sauce, I'd say it's a bit sweet, among other signs of Americanization. My grandfather is straight off the boat from Italy. He and my grandmother make their own sauce, and it's nothing like any of these sauces. When my father and I make sauce from scratch, it's typically much chunkier and much meatier—both in the sense that it contains meat, and in the sense that it is heartier; it has bigger chunks-o-stuff. This Classico sauce has the occasional big leaf of basil, or 3/16 inch chunk of garlic. This makes it close. That said, I wouldn't change this sauce. - I don't like buying sauces that contain meat. The meat sits in the sauce, and doesn't age as well. I've noticed the same thing with sweet peppers. I like to buy sauces that lack these, then add them myself. The only thing worse is canned pastas. Think Spaghettios and canned ravioli. They're awful for a reason. - The sauce doesn't have to be authentic to taste delicious to someone who's had "authentic" sauce. My grandparents' sauce is awesome, but it's its own flavor. Maybe it's conditioning, but I actually like my father's sauce better, so I cook like he does. So at the end of the day, I like all three of this sauces. It's like finding the best hamburger. Just because McDonald's started in America and makes the most standardized hamburger, doesn't mean it's the best. Bottom line is, I do recommend this sauce. And Walmart figured out how to wrap glass jars in paper before mailing them, now, so all the more reason to buy online.

This stuff is amazing! Must try! The sweetness is the perfect amount. It compliments really well with chicken and mozzarella cheese . Any flavor sauce from this brand is good. Ingredients are better quality and better for you. Try it, you’ll never leave this brand!

The product is still the same...we like it but my reason for always buying your sauce over others it that i can reuse the jar (maybe not for wet canning)...i use mine for spices and seasonings mostly ...they are perfect for storage ..mason aftermarket lids work great on them ...the shape makes it easy to store...but if your changing the lid to the crappy lid you use on all your other products.....i'll not buy it as often as i have in the past... truth is if you made all yours with the regular mason jar mouth...id buy those products as well
