I thought this would turn out to be a reason for nicks and missed hairs. However, after several tried at using it, I had no nicks and it got almost every HAIR!

I didn't need to use half the can fit one shave, just a little covered my face nicely. It wasn't tacky like some shaving gels, and I didn't end up with razor burn after shaving.

There IS a difference between Edge and the Gilette, and between Edge and the 'house-brand' drugstore brands. For some reason, it's slicker and works better. I've loved all the Edge variations. I have also found it to be quite economical; for my beard only a very small amount of gel will foam my whole face. Highly recommended

I can't say that I really understand the point behind using shaving cream/gel in the first place, or what it does.. but it does seem to feel good afterwards.
