It's the absolutely the most basic pillbox available. It cost about a dollar; fair price for what it is. I almost bought what appears to be an identical pillbox priced at several dollars. It may last years or a month. In this case I got what I paid for and a dollar was a good buy.
I have bought this item before in the store. I like to fill 8 weeks worth of daily meds at once and this fits the otc and presc. med's I take daily (some are large like calcium, vitamin c, fiber capsules etc). They stack nicely in a drawer. I've never had one fail in any way. Great product for me.
I gave this last one star because the little closure piece is difficult sometimes me being old not having good use of my fingers sometimes getting them open is a little bit of a struggle I'm not terrible they stay shut well I just wish there was an easier way you could use your thumb instead of your fingernail to your thumbnail to unlatch it to open the lid.
Cheap but hard to get into. I was breaking my fingers to get the meds in and out. Until, i saw that the front of the container says push and then the item pops open. The pill compartment is big enough for someone who is sickly and takes multiple medications. Needs a cheap sticker on top of it, that says, push to open......
This organizer does work, but it's not a great unit. The shape of the individual cups traps combinations of pills. They can wedge against each other and don't easily come out. The lids are a bit clunky to use. They do not easily release. The first few times I tried to open them, I cracked and broke some of my fingernails. It's not intuitive on how to open them. I am now in my 2nd week of using 2 of these containers, and I am getting a bit better at opening them. I am still having the pill jamming and latch opening issues. They currently are not a one handed organizer yet. Still figuring out how it works and my routine. These were very inexpensive to purchase. So I purchased more of these pill organizers than I actually need right now, thinking I will come up with other tasks I can put these organizers too. For the price, they actually do work and get the job done. It's my first time using pill organizers, so I am still on a learning curve here. These organizers are giving me a rapid education in what features to look for in the future. One thing I like about these organizers is it's easy to glance at them and check to see if you took your pills and they are quick to use. I take a number of pills daily, and the big benefit is it's quicker to use these daily than go through a number of different pill bottles every day. You just do it once a week. It's actually overall much more convenient to use and a time saver.
It's inexpensive, but the quality is lacking. The print-on letters of the days comes off with usage, within about a month or so. I guess you can always just take a Sharpie and do it yourself. With mine, the letters have almost completely disappeared. The compartments fit a good amount of pills. However, the tabs that hold down each compartment is thin and looks like they would break easily. I would still recommend it though.
The compartment size is fine - will easily accommodate a couple of large pills plus smaller ones. The design has been modified and that is where the problem starts. Instead of just snapping closed, there is a tab going down from the lid. It snaps onto another locking piece. The compartment has "push" printed on it, meaning you have to push on the front of the compartment to release the locking tab. It's made of RIGID plastic - there is NO give to release the locking tab. The item comes completely encased in shrink wrap so you destroy the packaging in order to find out you can't use it and therefore can't return it. Not a lot of money but still a waste and more plastic for the recycle bin or a landfill.
The only reason I haven't bought a new one yet is pure laziness. The compartments are very large, so if you take a handful of pills, they should all fit. Opening each compartment is tricky and closing it is even trickier. Sometimes they pop back open. Feels very cheap
The size of the item is much smaller than advertised in the product specifications. Make sure you're getting what you pay for. This could not hold 2 vitamin E and calcium pills at the same time irl. According to the description, it should be able to without issue. It was 3/4” shorter and nearly 1/4” narrower and shallower than stated. There is no version of reality where “45 standard aspirin tablets” could fit in here. Standard ASA tabs are the 325mg white ones.
This was advertised by Walmart as having lift-,up lids, which I wanted. Instead it had lids that require a very hard push to pop open each lid, a painful procedure if one has arthritis. Apparently, this is the only style of pillbox now sold by Walmart. It is a huge marketing mistake because elderly people are most likely the ones who need/purchase pillboxes, and arthritis is common in the elderly and a person with arthritis cannot comfortably open these pillboxes.
