I am on Weight Watchers and have lost 48 lb the past year, I drink this when I'm feeling extra hungry because it keeps me feeling full for several hours, usually I have one first thing in the morning but if I want to eat late at night I will drink one before bed and it actually helps me sleep better. I highly recommend it because the price is much lower than the other brands and it has 24 g of protein and really does taste good. saves $6 or more per canister when you buy this
This is my favorite protein powder for general use. It blends really smoothly into just about anything, cold or hot, without clumping or getting gritty. My favorite way to use it is mixed into Greek yogurt, which makes the yogurt really thick and smooth, and just slightly sweet. I usually do add a little extra sweetener, plus I eat it with protein granola which also adds sweetness. The vanilla flavor is mild and pleasant, and while it does have a typical "protein" taste, there's nothing weird or overpowering about it. For the quality and how well it mixes, the price is very reasonable. Definitely a staple at my house!
Best price %26 quality I've found! =) Add cinnamon nutmeg Monk fruit to a big glass Achor Hocking canister I bought here for egg nog flavor. I use for drinking add to non fat GV plain yogurt for pudding! Yum Yum!!! Next I'm doing strawberry flavor to the new big canister I just ordered. You can add different powder supplements and feel good herbs also!! :)
As a bariatric patient, protien is very impotant to me. I use this post workout about 2xs daily to meet my 200g protien goals. the flavor is light (which i appreciate) and not overwhelming to thr senses. it shakes really well in a protien shaker! its great for Keto.
This is great because it has the same macros as the more expensive Optimum Nutrition. Like Optimum Nutrition, this one is made of a blend of whey protein isolate and whey protein concentrate with isolate listed first. I'm not a fan of any whey protein flavor by itself, so I always make it in fruit smoothies. Usually with cheap protein powders I can taste the whey, but this vanilla one blends in nicely with frozen berries. Would recommend to anyone on a budget.
The texture, taste, and mixing ease aren't bad at all - it's all quite good. However, I definitely noticed after two weeks of use that this whey protein did not positively affect me like many other brands - energy, strength, sleep quality. I did finish the product, but then ordered a different brand and almost immediately noticed the positive difference. From my experience with protein powders in the past, this is usually attributed to a lower quality protein used in the manufacturing process.
I wish I had a thought to inspect the ingredients before I got it. I want vanilla whey protein powder and I was getting some that was grass fed and sweetened with Stevia leaf but they raised their price by $10. So I thought I would give this a try, but I was in the middle of other things when I added it to the grocery pick up order and never got around to inspecting the ingredients. It has sucralose instead of Stevia leaf. I already knew that it wasn't grass fed, but I figured that I would give it a try anyway. So if you don't want to have sucralose in your diet, this is not the one for you.
I would only recommend this to someone who is on a very tight budget and saving every penny. The taste and texture are not very good at all ( and in not super picky). I bought the GNC vanilla flavored whey powder and it's SO SO GOOD. Also not too much more expensive
The artificial sweetner in this product SPIKES BLOOD GLUCOSE just as real sugar would. Informed users will understand why this is detrimental to muscle recovery. I ordered because it was the only why protein available for immediate delivery. Whey powder should have ZERO EXTRA INNGREDIENTS.
I had purchased this once before and remembered not liking it but couldn't recall exactly why. I decided to try it again, but after drinking it I noticed my stomach did not feel good. I'm very sensitive to certain ingredients due to a history of IBS and inflammation. After checking the ingredient list, I saw that it contains carrageenan, which is known to cause digestive irritation for some people. I'm not sure if the sucralose or acesulfame potassium also contributed, but this protein powder definitely did not sit well with me. Unfortunately, this one is a no-go for me. I ended up getting my money back.
