Very Excellent tasty and well prepared potato chuncks. Good amount in one can for a few good meals. The price is fantastic, considering the potatoes and the preparation that is done for eating them them. They are easily delivered with all of the other things ordered onlie!
i gave these a try one day as paralysis in my hands makes peeling and cutting potatoes difficult. i love to use them.in soup. for country potatoes with lots of caramelized onions and in casseroles. they taste.like potatoes, without any off flavor. they have made cooking much easier and tastier for me..
These are great to have on hand for an easy dinner or breakfast. I love frying them up to eat with. scrambled eggs. They fry up just like any other potato but without the hassle of having to dice them yourself, saving so much time
I purchased this originally to be put in green beans. I changed my mind and placed them in my green chili soup. My family couldn't tell the difference between the can and real potatoes I had placed in the green chili soup. I would recommend if you are knitting something quick to add to a dish or you just need something on the side.
I gave these potatoes 5 stars - they are good can potatoes. You can't compare can potatoes to fresh - it's a whole different thing. But, they were not smooshy and the liquid in the can was clear. ( if you've ever gotten yucky can potatoes you know what I'm talking about). We used them for quick soup and they make good fried breakfast potatoes. You have to season them yourself. Great to have on hand for when you don't have fresh potatoes or if you're in a hurry.
The first time I bought these canned potatoes was just to have on hand. I have drained the liquid and fried them up into yummy hash browns. I've even made a quick potato salad too. Trying to peel and cook raw potatoes is getting hard for me. I'm glad I gave them a try and bought more!
I use them when I make my homemade pot pie. They are perfect for using in casseroles %26 do not taste like they came from a can. They are the perfect size %26 do not disintegrate when fully cooked. I am however FURIOUS because our Walmart at Spring Valley Road %26 I-35 in Hewitt Texas has STOPPED CARRYING THEM!!! Walmart, you are FAMOUS for dropping a great product without any warning!!!! 😡 WHY??? Do BETTER Walmart. You make millions of dollars. Please stop this insanity.
Never thought would give a canned potato a rating, but these are so great for a quick breakfast side. Rinse well and dry. Brown in some butter to go with the scrambles. Little garlic salt and pepper and good to go. Gave it a 5 star because is such a time saver and with arthritic hands it saves time peeling and dicing.
I take a can of these and drain off the water and fry them up in my grandmother‘s cast-iron frying pan and at the end as they're nice crispy and brown in the frying pan is hot. I pour in five very well beaten eggs with salt, pepper, cilantro, garlic powder, mixed in with it, and turn the heat off and just let the residual heat cook the eggs and when I come back in a few minutes, I've got potato and egg mixture for breakfast tacos
These always get delivered super dented %26 we throw them away so we get botulism food poisoning which can be fatal. Other brands aren't ever dented but this one 100% of the time arrives on delivery or pick up dented.
